So so so beautiful and the staff was amazing only stayed for a night before heading off to my next location but would definitely stay another night to explore Hakone. Tried new foods I normally wouldn’t eat as well which was a great experience as well 🙂‍↕️

Each accommodation at the 2-star ryokan has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath and a hot tub. The ryokan has parking on-site, a public bath and a housekeeping service. Everything was great. Accommodation is in the woods and all you can hear are crickets. It's great place to take a break from Tokyo. Room was clean and bed was extra comfortable. Hot spring was something you should definitely try. All in all, great experience.

Staffs were very nice, the location was comfy as well. The room has no windows but it was very nice to rest and sleep. Wish that the breakfast has more options but all in all everything was good.

The en suite bathroom features a private bath and shower, with free toiletries and a hairdryer provided. Some rooms come with a private open-air bath. We arrived by bus and the bus stop is just outside so very convenient. Although the bus from ... was really crowded. Get to the bus early to get a seat because it’s a 1-hour ride and our bus was crammed full of people. It goes every half hour so if the first is full get the next. The hotel has a beautiful Japanese garden out front. I mean so beautiful! With a carp pond and a small bamboo grove. The sakura was blooming and it was magical. The hotel main building was nice and felt calm and understatedly luxurious, if a little dated. The staff was very attentive when we arrived and helped us with everything. There is a pervasive smell of sulphur but that is to be expected for the area and can't really be helped. It didn't bother us. We stayed in a traditional room with a private open air onsen. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. I think it was in the older part of the building, so the bathroom was a little dated but again, it was still lovely. And it provided all amenities we could need. I'd have loved to have seen the new buildings though and if I go again, I’d make sure to book one of them with private onsen. But for our part the room was lovely and large and the private onsen was amazing, looking over the little garden. We had our kaiseki dinner served in the room from a kind lady. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast was also served in the room, and was again beautifully presented and a traditional Japanese breakfast. The open onsens (non private) we're nice, although you have to walk between the indoor and open air onsen. So, you have to leave the indoor one and walk further down the corridor to find the open-air ones. But the private onsen in the room was the star of the show for sure.
