Beautiful restored traditional Japanese home. Spacious, clean and well furnished. The small garden was wonderful as was the delightful welcome we received. Right in the centre of Shimabara and close to all the sights. The town doesn’t appear on many of the tourist sites but is well worth seeking out as a more traditional Japanese town. We even managed to find a great little local place to eat and navigate the menu in Japanese! Fabulous stay, perfect little home and wished we could have stayed longer.

I wish I could give 11 points for this guesthouse. It was one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The host is incredibly kind and we had some great conversations. And not to forget the incredible breakfast! I will come back and next time stay longer.

We loved that there was a usable kitchen with real kitchen knives, pans, pot, dinner ware. There was a grill. Plenty of space. Beautiful porch view. We launch our SUP with no problem. Good set up of our family of 4. So much better than a hotel !

Well equipped. Room service dinner was delicious & well priced. Slight challenge to get to the hotel on bicycles but worth it.

The rooms were very nice and spacious. We had a corner window and it was just great to sit there and enjoy the view. It is very well located for most of the sightseeing spots.
