Beds were comfortable but I am used to a very firm mattress. So I suppose I would find most others on the soft side. The location close to the little town and shopping centres of Hazyview which has first class shops like a Woolworths Food where you can buy excellent provisions for a braai or whatever you are planning. Although Hazyview has expanded a lot over the past 30 year since Thulamela was established, this small intimate little B&B with only 6 cabins retains its character and tranquility. Penny, the owner and host is perfect as are the staff, Julia and the lady who brought us our delicious breakfast. Not a cooked breakfast but delicious.

Brilliant accommodation and perfect location for our one night stay after the Kruger Park. If we had known it was going to be so nice we would of stayed longer to tour the area. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was really good and plenty of choices. The breakfast was fab and delicious. You can not fault this lodge, from modern, spotless, clean, large, comfy rooms to the privacy and manicured gardens, we recommend it 100%.

Dit 5-sterrenpension biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei van het Mpumalanga Laagveld. Very beautiful location, away from the main road, in the middle of the plantation. The buildings are in an oasis of green, surrounded by the trees. We enjoyed sitting under the porch with a cocktail before moving to a delicious dinner. The private pool to our room was also very beautiful, sadly it was too cold to make use of it. We should come back in summer. ;)
