Room size was suprisingly large for a Japanese hotel room, and the bed was massive. Good location super close to Nishiki Market and main downtown shopping area, while still close walk to public transport (bus, subway) etc. to access other popular areas of Kyoto. Staff were exceptionally helpful and polite, and spoke reasonably good english which was very helpful. Nice quiet lounge with free snacks, tea and even a free traditional japanese matcha drink prepared for us on our first day. Highly Recommend!!!

The great hotel with an excellent location! Pretty close to all the main attractions all around Kyoto. You could easily get to Gion and Higashiyama District on foot. Decent breakfast options including Japanese and Western ones. Helpful and friendly staff! The room was clean and comfortable for a long stay.

I really felt in love with this hotel as it was my first stop in Japan. Staff is very hepfull and super polite, they let you keep your luggage day on check in and also on check out, there is always complimentary drinks (even sake) and breakfast is a very nice introduction to Kyoto cusine. Highly recommended. Place itself is like 30 min wal on foot from busy nishiki market and other areas which is very nice, as you could rest well without turist chaos

Candeo Hotel Kyoto was a great location. Quick walk to Nishiki markets etc. The rooms were clean and a good size. We loved the On-sen which was much needed after long days of walking.

The location was very convenient, close to cafés and restaurants, and just a short walk from Nishiki Market. The room was quite spacious compared to other hotels (especially in Tokyo, where rooms were much smaller), and it was tidy, clean, and fitted with new furniture. Everything worked well. The staff were excellent, with great service and attention to detail, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was also good, with plenty of options and thoughtful accommodation for gluten-free requirements.

The Hotel is in a central lively location in a pedestrian shopping arcade very close to the Nishiki market. It is 30 minutes walking distance from Gion and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. There is a 7/11 on the ground floor which is real convenient. They have a complimentary coffee/tea lounge on the 2nd floor which is very convenient .

I’m running out of praise to describe our experience at this hotel. The reception was fantastic, and the staff speak perfect English. Professional, efficient, fast, attentive, and friendly service—fully up to Japanese standards. The location is excellent, right on Kyoto’s main shopping street, just a few meters from Nishiki Market and a five-minute walk from Pontocho and Gion. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Kyoto.

A super clean, efficient, comfortable and well-located hotel just a 2 min walk from Shichijo station and a 20-minute walk to Kyoto central station. It is also a walking distance to many attractions - Kiyomizu-dera temple, Gion district, Nishiki market. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards and equipped you everything you need. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel was offered good breakfast and all drinks an dsnacks were free of charge throughout the day.
