A friendly welcoming smile from the staff when we arrived late after a long day riding scooters in torrential rain. We arrived late and unannounced after the hosts at our other booking cancelled last minute. When he turned up soaked to the bone the staff member ushed out to us and beckoned us immediately to a clean, comfortable room with hot water for a shower and then returned with hot coffees. Faultless service from the team. Thank you. Special mention goes to the delicious chicken curry and coconut roti served for dinner.

The property is in a small village in the nature, you are really close to the village itself but the property feels like miles away and is so peaceful. The property is simple but clean and has all necessary amendities. Prasad was the best host we ever had, every question and concern or request was adressed immediately. He arranged a tranfers and safari for us for very a reasonable price. His family provides delicious breakfast and dinner if requested which was a real taste of Sri Lanka.

With pool views, Tranquil Wild is located in Tanamalwila and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

Reihan and Claire took exceptional care of us from the get-go till the farewell. The property just screams privacy and luxury and so does the mentality of their staff. Reihan greeted us personally and also led the two safaris in his capacity as the head ranger. Could not recommend it more to anyone who hasn't experienced it. Block 5 in terms of the area for our safari felt kinda small in a good sense and we spotted a wide range of wildlife from crocodiles and elephants to leopards, mongooses, land monitors and birds. The food was delicious and rest assured there was plenty of it. Since we signed up for the all-inclusive package, we were pampered 24/7. The three-course meals were both absolutely yummy and generously sized. The cocktail were as delicious as potent. Unfortunately, we had only booked one night, but we'll sign up for 2 or 3 nights when we come back to appreciate the experience even more.

The cleanest & most modern accommodation of my trip so far. Beautiful surroundings with birds who will wake you up by tapping on your window (so gorgeous!). Proper AC & a fridge which was an added bonus! Comfortable bed & attentive owner. Organised My safari trip.

Dhanushka greeted us warmly on arrival and we were made to feel very welcome. It seemed that nothing was a bother and Dhanuska and her family were there to help us and make our stay a good one. The room was lovely, we enjoyed the simplicity of it. The view over the lake was great and there was plenty of bird life to watch. Dhanuska organised some lunch for us before the safari which she also arranged. The next morning we watched her prepare the cooking fire and make coconut rotti which she gave us to try as well as a good pot of coffee. She arranged a tuk tuk to the local bus stop and made sure we knew which bus to catch. Thanks to this lovely family. A great place to stay which is handy to the Yala safari.
