The property doesn't have an elevator so probably isn't appropriate for people that have a hard time with stairs. The rooms are beautiful - really well done finishes. The service is excellent.

I really enjoyed my stayed at CityHub Amsterdam. The rooms (or hubs) are compact but very comfortable with a surpisingly spacious bed, mood lighting and smart controls that make the experience fun and unique. Everything was spotless, from the hubs themselves to the shared bathrooms and showers, which were modern and well-maintained. Location was excellent. Plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. It is also very convenient for getting around with a tram stop few minutes away. Overall, I liked the modern design, the cleanliness, the convenient location, and the helpful staff who were always ready to recommend local spots. CityHub is a great choice if you’re looking for a cozy, tech-savvy, and well-connected base in Amsterdam.

Grouped displays were compelling, highlighting & comparing the style and approach of different artists in the same time period. Descriptions in the audio guide were informative. The special temporary exhibit about a 17th c. Dutch home life was absorbing.

This is the best museum in Amsterdam.

This is the best museum in Amsterdam. So many different artifacts and paintings. This museum has got one of the most diverse range of exhibits for any museum, anywhere in the world. You'll need to spend and entire day to see everything in this museum, but a 4-hour visit will give you enough time to see all the most significant exhibits in this museum.

Pre-book your visit for the earliest time slot you can as the crowds really do build, especially around the land, mark exhibits. It is so vast that it really is worth planning your view-targets rather than just wandering. 2 to 3 hours and you will be zapped!

Terrible.

Terrible. I must tell, that even the museum its follow-up survey does not work. However I am working in field of IT, and know all necessary tricks to filling out an online survey, my experiences is not enough. :( Our visit was terrible. Visiting this place was the only programm in Amsterdam, a bad surprize, to be referred as terrible. Against time periods, it was too much crowded. At the entrance individuals and group is without common sense shuffled. Staff is impolite, badly communicating. They disturbed as well our visit, becouse of my 3 liter backpack during our visit. Why? Why not at the entrance. But ther was no resolution, just disturbing attemptes to arrange somthing. I left them staying. I was working in visitor center of Hungarian Parliament. This was impossible. Direction posts is just a few and badly placed. Audioguide usage is missing many information: where to get, how to use, where to give back etc. So is an unnecessary garbage. Thinks worth having is collection and decriptions. Every additional circumstences to our visir was just disturbing or missing. Suggested to improve many components for making a visit memorable. This was just immemorable.

Pace yourself!

Pace yourself! This is Amsterdam's version of the Louvre -- there's a lot to see. They have kind of a 'greatest hits' exhibition hall that is quite nice and navigable in one visit but if you want to see the other floors I'd suggest going a second day. After awhile it's more than you can absorb. They have a really nice restaurant in the lobby and a cute coffeeshop tucked in a back corner if you need a break halfway through.

There's a fantastic collection of ship models in the basement. Oh, and Rembrant and Vermeer, but lots of other great art. You could spend all day here. Buy timed tickets online, or walk straight in with a ticket from the museum shop out front. Same price.

The location is super - peaceful residential area in Museumkwartier. Very close to the museums Stedelijk, Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum and Concertgebouw - all in about 3-7 min walking distance. The Center is also close, walking distance. Our windows were towards the backyard, which was nice and quiet (at least in December). The bed was very comfortable, had the best sleep in it. Rooms are clean. On Saturdays there's a small farmers market set up on the circle in front of the hotel - if you are interested to try local foods and treats.

The location was the reason I booked a room at the Van Gogh Hotel: It was 1 1/2 blocks from the Van Gogh Museum, 2 blocks from the Concertgebouw, 2 1/2 blocks from the Rijksmuseum. It was two doors down from a wonderful cofee shop/restaurant where I had breakfast each day. The hotel had a very good bed, and was in a good, safe area for evening walking.

It was a "small double room". It was really small. When using the toilette my knees did not let to close the door. One narrow corridor in the room. The bed is accessible from one side. The location is great. 4 mins from Van Gogh Museum, 5 from Rijksmuseum, 8 mins to downtown - walking.

Andre at the front desk was very welcoming and helped us tag our bags (we got there early and left our bags while we went exploring). The hotel and room were clean and bright. Good breakfast. Efficient elevator to the 4th floor. Great view from the room - could see the Rijksmuseum towers! The street that the hotel is on is gorgeous.
