We loved our stay at Hortensias, the villas are so cute, the little electric fireplace was used a couple nights just to cut the dampness. Had two meals for supper and we enjoyed them, breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend.

Everything, this was a treat and I could have stayed there for ever. The breakfast included was so good with many choices. This is great for person that want to be in nature.

Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. The room was amazing with a ridiculously epic view and a jacuzzi in the balcony too! Our bathroom was just incredible with a bath, a shower and a separate waterfall shower. The view and location is breathtaking. It’s secluded enough to make you feel slightly off the grid and the scenery is beautiful. There are some amazing plants to see and plenty of humming birds flying around that make the experience magical. Whoever designed this hotel has put a lot of thought into detail and must have loved nature. There are waterfalls at the property which cannot be missed.

Chilamate Rainforest Eco Retreat ligger indenfor 48 km fra Catarata Tesoro Escondido og har restaurant, en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse. Our second eco stay in Costa Rica and so far the best. The location is amazing with the soothing rush of the river nearby which is also awesome for a swim on hot days. It's just far enough from the madding crowds to be peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to local sodas and markets and everything else. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful (Fernanda deserves a special mention) . The breakfast buffet is superb with local delicacies like spiced (seeds and real chillies) chorizo, rice and beans as well as fare for the less adventurous , with fresh juice, coffee etc. The one dinner we had was also great and an absolute bargain. The rooms/bathrooms were clean and comfortable. There are common areas with coffee/tea/biscuits always available and a kitchen with fridge if you want to cook your own. To top it all off you can wander off into the surrounding reasonably marked trails to see howler monkeys, toucans, etc.

Room very good (we decided to come again end of our journey), great walks in the jungle, great location to relax.
