We had an incredible 3d2n stay at Sinharaja Kurulu Ella Eco Resort. Even before our stay, Janith and Manisha went above and beyond to make our trip to Sri Lanka enjoyable. The drive we had originally booked cancelled last minute, and they were able to quickly arrange transport for us from Colombo to the resort and even for the subsequent week of our trip. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, both the structures and the surrounding areas, which includes a path to a waterfall and gorgeous views of the rainforest. We ate each meal here and loved every single bite - the coconut sambal was some of the best in the world. For those with smaller stomachs, the portions are huge so it’s best to split a plate so as to avoid food waste. We originally booked the triple room with a view but when we saw the Superior Family Room, we immediately upgrades because it’s essentially a glass treehouse immersed in the jungle. We also booked a jungle tour through the resort and our guide Kumar took us on an incredible all day journey through a tea plantation to a rainforest, where we explored waterfalls and learned about the local flora. We are traveling through Sri Lanka for a few weeks and really this has been one of the highlights of our trip because of beautiful location, delicious food, the wonderful memories made on the jungle tour, and most importantly the compassion and kindness that were shown to us at every minute by Janith and Manisha. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Rainforest Mount Lodge bevindt zich in Deniyaya met uitzicht op de bergen en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, snackbar, tuin en buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is. This is a beautiful place to stay near the rainforest. They friendly owners were very welcoming. The rooms are really clean and comfortable with excellent views from the balcony. Nice pool as well. Food was also excellent! The property is also a short walk to the entrance of the rainforest park. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The Whitegates Lodge ligt in Weligama in de regio Matara District, dicht bij Midigama Beach. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en toegang tot een hot tub. Mooi en schoon verblijf met lieve eigenaren. Ook toen ik wat medische zorg nodig had hebben zij ervoor gezorgd dat ik op de juiste plek terecht kwam.

A real paradise for nature lovers! Amazing location. Fantastic rooms. Karin and her staff are really kind and welcoming. Delicious food!!! The best place we have been in our three weeks travel in Sri Lanka!

The location was perfect—just a five-minute walk to the beach, yet backing onto the jungle, which made it beautifully peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved spending time on the balcony watching and listening to the resident wildlife. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

Als je ergens moet overnachten in Sri lanka dan is dit de plek!! De eigenaren zijn twee geweldige lieve mensen, die je eigelijk het liefste de hele dag wilt knuffelen en de wereld gunt. Je slaapt in een prachtige en veilige omgeving, met een super schone fijne kamer en badkamer. De tuin is waanzinnig mooi en zit vol met bijzondere dieren. De eigenaren willen je met alles helpen en staan de hele dag voor je klaar. Het eten wat ze voor je maken is het lekkerste wat wij op het eiland hebben gegeten, je proeft de liefde die er in zit. De passie die deze mensen voor het zorgen en je een fijne tijd geven is onwaarschijnlijk. Dit is voor ons de plek in Sri lanka en voelt echt oprecht als thuis komen. De locatie is overigens ook helemaal perfect je zit midden in de jungle en je kan de drukte opzoeken, nog geen 10 minuten rijden naar mooiste stranden of stadjes. Als je naar Sri lanka gaat is dit echt de plek om te overnachten, niet alleen voor de locatie maar ook de veelste lieve mensen die dit guesthouse runnen. Wij hebben meer dan genoten van onze tijd en als we terug denken aan Sri lanka staat deze overnachting echt op nummer 1 van ons lijstje. Zodra je hier komt wil je hier het liefste maanden blijven. Lunuvila Resort Hiriketiya Dikwella ligt in Dikwella in de regio Matara District, dicht bij Dickwella-strand. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Prachtig huisje met eigen zitplek voor het huis onder een afdakje. Heel schoon. Elke ochtend een uitgebreid sri lankaans ontbijt, elke dag anders!

Truly family friendly. We had the pleasure of spending Christmas here which was really great for the whole family. Great location close to many restaurants and easy to grab a tuktuk
