The cabins are cozy and comfortable and are equipped with everything you need. Cabins are heated with electric heat and there is also a wood stove if you’d like to have a fire. The location is fantastic – tucked away on a hillside overlooking the historic Stalheim Hotel and the surrounding mountains and an easy 15 minutes drive to Flam. Flam can be busy with tour buses and cruise ships; Stalheim feels like a world away from that. Marit was a great host. She greeted us when we arrived and gave us lots of great information about the area and suggested things to see and do. This place is really something special!

The property feels very fresh, with all the equipment and fittings being modern, high-quality, and well maintained. Everything was spotless and clean, which made the stay extra comfortable. The design is sleek yet cozy, and the riverside location adds a very relaxing vibe—you can really unwind while enjoying the scenery. There’s also a comfortable outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which made the evenings extra special. Sitting by the fire with the river beside you was an amazing experience.

The house is new, stylish and smartly designed, it includes everything you can dream of. The view is gorgeous, it is even better than the picture. Even the master bedroom has this breathtaking view! Everything is spotless and new, the house has very good and high quality equipment. I regret, that we stayed there only for one night before our flight home. I would like to stay longer. It is an ideal place for a short and luxury retreat. The terrace is butiful too and good for meditations. But you need a car to get there. I've found plenty of restaurants around, but all of them - with a 5-10 min drive.

My friend and I came here for a nature experience in comfortable surrounds and the experience was spectacular. It was also only made possible through a very solicitous host who picked us up with his own boat when the boat we took dropped us at the wrong island. We were warmly greeted by his entire family who, in turn, did us another favour, and were taken very close to the cabin by car; at the schoolhouse a table had been set for us to eat at. We had to walk up the hill for less than ten minutes, which was fine for us, but would be impossible for someone with a heavy suitcase, so we would recommend coming here with only a backpack. The little box was both cosy and roomy and we enjoyed just sitting, reading and taking in the view. Everything about the place was luxurious - the design, the bed, the scenic WC, the seats outside from which to enjoy the view, the precise position of the cabin - but some food would have been greatly appreciated, if even at an added charge. It seems obvious and we went prepared with groceries, but because of the day of the week the only store open on Florø had a limited range and we subsisted mainly on supermarket bread during our trip. Bear in mind that weather is, of course, variable, and if you're booking far in advance you don't know whether you'll end up with heavy rain; potential guests should be okay with that. Even with rain, Reksta was the highlight of our trip.

Really beautiful view from the bed through the panoramic window. The place itself is not big, but it is sufficient for a couple and really nice and cosy. It also has a parking space.
