An American breakfast is available at the lodge. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped. Lying on the divan on the deck watching the gentle rhythm of life in Uros floating by was just amazing. Food was good and Raúl gently took care of all our needs.

Wilson and Lisbeth are such kind people and wonderful hosts along with their beautiful kids and friendly dog! They shared their home, food and community with us and even went out of their way to make us feel special on our honeymoon. The rooms are big, comfortable and have stunning views of the lake. The beds were warm and they even supplied hot water bottles every night. A perfect and memorable way to end our trip in such a beautiful and peaceful location. Thank you Wilson and Lisbeth!

Providing a restaurant, Hotel - Titicaca Dora provides accommodation in Puno.

Some units include a balcony and/or a patio with city views.

A continental breakfast is available at the lodge.

A terrace can be found at Hotel - Titicaca Dora, along with a garden. We stayed in the all-glass dome (the first of three domes) and had a fantastic experience. **Pickup and Check-in:** Despite some miscommunication through WhatsApp due to a language barrier, the pickup was on time and smooth. The boat ride to the dome took about 20 minutes. **Lunch:** Since we arrived at the lodge before lunch, Renzo was very accommodating and took us to a restaurant in the Uros community where we had the best grilled fish ever. **Uros Community Tour:** Renzo stayed with us throughout the Uros community tour, showing us a small museum of the Uros history, how the floating island was built, and how to cook on the island. We really wanted to ride the traditional boats, and even though Renzo doesn't have those at his lodge, he was very accommodating, calling around until he secured one for us. We also tried traditional Uros clothes at the Uros community. **Dinner:** We had dinner in our dome, which included soup, a main course, and dessert for 30 soles—a very reasonable price. **The Dome:** The dome we stayed in was comfortable, spacious, and stylish. The only caveat was that it was really cold at night. Plenty of blankets were provided, so the bed was warm enough, and a propane heater ran throughout the night. However, with temperatures dropping to -4 degrees on the night we stayed there, the heater had minimal effect. Hot water was slow to come, but I believe this applies to other lodges as well. The night sky was a great highlight for us; we've never seen so many stars. **Breakfast:** Breakfast included eggs, baked goods, juice, cheese, and ham. It was plentiful, more than enough to feed three people. **Check-out:** Check-out was very smooth. The lodge accepts credit cards, and Renzo can help you get a taxi at the port in case you need one. **Overall:** We can't recommend Renzo and his lodge enough. It was a great highlight of our trip to Peru, and we look forward to coming back in the future.

Providing city views, Uros Maya Lodge in Puno provides accommodation, a garden and a restaurant.

Some units include a dining area and/or a patio.

Inca Manco Cápac International Airport is 48 km away. This intimate, welcoming lodge is the passion project of Don Mario and Mama Lea, both born and raised right here in the Uros community. They sustain their small floating island by harvesting reeds from the lake and by running this remarkable B&B with care, pride, and generosity. Mornings are magical. Sunrise over the lake is exquisite, the water often perfectly still, and the birdlife abundant. We found ourselves slowing down completely — reading books, braving the cold lake waters during the warmest part of the day, and playing cards together in the cozy dining hut. The peace here is profound. Don Mario offers a two-hour boat tour through the village, guiding guests through the reed beds while explaining how generations of Uros have used these reeds to cook, build, and navigate the lake they hold sacred. It was deeply moving and fascinating to learn about a way of life that feels both ancient and fragile, yet still very much alive. Both Mario and Lea are also gifted artisans. Don Mario creates drawings that beautifully capture the lake and its culture, while Mama Lea transforms these designs into pillow covers, table runners, and wall hangings that are truly lovely and meaningful keepsakes. A few practical notes: the showers are gravity-fed and solar-heated, which means lower water pressure and the hottest water in the late afternoon. The midday sun is intense, so wide-brimmed hats and sunscreen are essential. Finally, a word about Uros itself. Before arriving, I read many reviews dismissing the islands as a tourist trap rather than a genuine community. While tourism clearly plays an important role in the local economy, it is equally clear that this is a real, living community with deep roots. The Uros have existed here for countless generations, passing down knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship. They are skilled fishermen and masters of using reeds for nearly everything imaginable.

Inca Manco Cápac International Airport is 49 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. From the moment we stepped off our bus in puño this stay was a highlight of our trip. To start, the floating islands are unique and something that you need to experience. Felix showed us a level of kindness and hospitality you don’t often see in the world anymore and we were left with full hearts and a new appreciation for the way people on the Uros islands look out for each other as a community. As for the rooms, they were beautiful and we spent hours lying in the sun lounge relaxing, reading our books and watching the boats pass by. This was one of those experiences you remember forever and I’m so glad we booked here.
