We had a great skiing vacation here in Bad Gastein despite the lack of fresh snow and extremely warm weather. Special thanks to Alex Hinterberger - she made our stay in Das Schider exceptional, and she was so hospitable and friendly. Thanks, Alex! Hope to meet you again. In general, this hotel has everything you need. Superb idea for the breakfast, the staff was taking every minute care about the order of breakfast stuff, etc. The sauna with a superb mountain view and the terrace - this is the best you need to rejuvenate your batteries after skiing. The Hotel is located in a very quiet area, 10 min walking distance to the city center with restaurants and a famous waterfall, which is just fabulous! Special thanks from my daughter to 2 kitties - they are so friendly and cute.

Great breakfast with lots of vegan options. The dinner is also excellent and very vegan friendly. The hotel is located in a very pleasant town, from which there are several beautiful hiking trails.

The fact that we came for the second time and spent Christmas at Bergkristall says it all. The cleanliness, the room, the bathroom, the comfortable beds, the delicious food. The spa area with the two saunas and the relaxation room are extraordinary, clean and well maintained.

Everything was great! The apartment is spacious, clean, and very well equipped – it includes a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The internet worked perfectly, and the location is excellent, right in the city center. Just a small note: the listing mentions 3 bathrooms, but in reality, there are 2 full bathrooms and a half bathroom.

Amazing place in very quiet and nice small town in the heart of Austrian Alps. We were there 4 person family for 3 days for skiing during xmass break. There is only 15 minutes to Molltaler and Ankogel lifts. There are shops and few restaurants in Obervellach so we were able to buy food and drinks. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. The owner of the apartment welcomed us first day warmly, explained everything and wished us good stay. We had wonderful time in Obervellach and on the Alpine slopes.
