Luxury Hotels in Thoddoo

We had an amazing experience at Thoddoo Relax Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, greeting us with a refreshing coconut upon arrival. They facilitated our transportation from Male Airport to Thoddoo via speedboat for $35 per person per leg, departing at 10am and 4pm. Special mention to the hotel manager Shin Moe —they always did their best to make us feel welcome and provide any help we needed. Communication via Booking or WhatsApp wasn't immediate, but they responded to all our questions within a day. The room and common areas were excellently cleaned with daily towel changes. The temperature at night was perfect, thanks to the air conditioner and ceiling fan. The hotel provided two bottles (2L) of filtered water per day, along with shower and beach towels, shower gel, handwash, and a hairdryer. They offered various trips and beach dinner packages with discounts for hotel guests. Ade and Tomas, two extraordinary snorkelling guides, made our trip to the Maldives even more special with sharks, mantas, coral reef, and sandbank trips. The hotel is centrally located on the island in a quiet location, just a 10-minute walk from Bikini Beach or the city center area where most shops and restaurants are located. It's also a 1-minute walk from a small but excellent local market (Ihuru Baazaaru), well-stocked with local fruit, jam, ice cream, and Sea Almonds (Kanamadhu). It's a great place to get your treats while supporting local farmers. We opted for full board, and all meals were served in a restaurant opposite the hotel. The food was a mix of international and local cuisine (Mas Huni) for breakfast. They accommodated all dietary requirements (lactose intolerance) with no issues. Breakfast and dinner were served on the ground floor, but the upstairs restaurant had a great selection of local and international food. The espresso was excellent.

When we arrived at Thoddoo, we were pleasantly surprised that the owner Rimma was already waiting for us at the harbor. She kindly greeted us with a welcome drink (a tropical coconut) and led us to the accommodation. It's located a one minute walk from the harbor. The reception and terrace area was beautiful. We stayed in a family room with everything we needed. They cleaned the room and changed our bedsheets and glasses of fresh water everyday. Rimma was very friendly and helpful! She recommended and borrowed us an effective mosquito repellent, provided us an umbrella, flipflops, snorkeling gear... The breakfast was different everyday and always delicious. From pancakes with fruit, to traditional maldivian mashuni. The Black Anchor restaurant is just above the rooms and they cook delicious meals! We had all our lunches and dinners there. Always fresh fish and great drinks. The staff was so friendly and nice. They also offer sea tours, but sadly we had no time to try it. Unforgettable experience!

Very nice and friendly team. They helped us with everything (arranging transfer, snorkelling masks, early breakfast take away). The room is nice, comfortable bed, a lot of space for clothes. Good food for breakfast and dinner (not spicy, and the team offers different options for dinner)
