There was no breakfast. We arrived on the train and spent ages finding the little street where our host had his home - only to discover that address wasnot where the apartment was. Explainable when he has several apartments, but why did the info not tell us any of this - and why was the real address (which would have been much easier to locate) only put in an email during the morning of our travelling there? Seems weird - not all of us have our phones pinging with emails. Our host kindly droves us to the relevant apartment, but that’s not the point!

Superb hotel. Breakfast had a range of choices for all the family. We had an evening meal on two occasions also . This was also very good with lots of choices. The room was comfortable and clean and modern. The pools were well maintained and ideal for families of all ages. Staff across the hotel were welcoming, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble when you needed anything.

This apartment is really really excellent. Communication with the host before was amazing and they tried everything to make us as comfortable as possible. We went over the Christmas and spent 2 weeks exploring tbe towns of the Algarve and even managed to do a day trip to Seville. Olhao is really excellently located and is such a sweet little town. We cooked quite a bit and the kitchen is very well equipped. Many pots and pans and every utensil you can think about. There are many supermarkets around, our favourites though were Auchan and Appalonia. Appalonia had the best natas we tried in the Algarve and they catered for the vegan palate as well. As it was too cold to use the rooftop pool I would take my kids everyday to the Real Marina heated pool and for a small charge be allowed to use theirs. There was ample parking just outside the door. If you are visiting the town of Olhao just walk from the apartment, its easiest. Notable activities we did were a dolphin, caves and sunset cruise with X ride in Albufiera, its absolutely blew our minds, a day trip to Seville, please book the Alcazar ahead of time and note that Spain is 1 hour ahead, we did a day trip to Monchique which was stunning, we did a small boat tour of Ponta de Piede and the caves alkng the coasts and the town of Silves is amazing for the castle and stork watching. This region is truly magical, adveturous, exciting and very affordable. To really see it you have to rent a car. We rented ours with surprice in faro and got excellent service. The apartment has both heating and cooling. Many days we had the heating on as the nights were a little chilly. The tv can support netflix so the kids were happy. There are all the cleaning supplies you need and a washing machine. We absolutely loved this apartment and highly recommend it

There are many supermarkets around, our favourites though were Auchan and Appalonia. Appalonia had the best natas we tried in the Algarve and they catered for the vegan palate as well. As it was too cold to use the rooftop pool I would take my kids everyday to the Real Marina heated pool and for a small charge be allowed to use theirs. There was ample parking just outside the door. If you are visiting the town of Olhao just walk from the apartment, its easiest. Notable activities we did were a dolphin, caves and sunset cruise with X ride in Albufiera, its absolutely blew our minds, a day trip to Seville, please book the Alcazar ahead of time and note that Spain is 1 hour ahead, we did a day trip to Monchique which was stunning, we did a small boat tour of Ponta de Piede and the caves alkng the coasts and the town of Silves is amazing for the castle and stork watching.
