Het ontbijt viel ons wat tegen. Alhoewel Alison ons keurig geïnformeerd had dat er ontbijtspullen aanwezig waren, wat ook zo was, melk, jus d’orange, verschillende home made jams en een vers gebakken brood bij aankomst, waren wij toch wat misleid door de vermelding “Bed and Breakfast” en de verschillend afbeeldingen van het engelse ontbijt in de advertentie op Booking.com. De cerials konden we niet vinden en het lekkere gebakken eitje hebben we gemist.

Heel sfeervol hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Goed bed, fijne douche, koffie en theefaciliteiten op de kamer. Heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant van het hotel.Ook het ontbijt was erg lekker, bediening aan tafel met een uitgebreide menukaart om uit te kiezen. Grote parkeerplaats bij het hotel. Top!

Amazing host! I’ve never met a more thoughtful host, more interested in the wellbeing of their guests! The house is very well equipped with all the facilities and the amenities one could possibly need on their trip. One very important aspect for us since travelling with a toddler was the heating, which works great and the whole building is warm and cosy. We arrived late at night and it felt wonderful that Sharon has left for us in the kitchen bread, butter, milk, water, tea, coffee, some signature cocktails for the adults and even a toy for our son. The Fothergill legacy is not only well taken care of, but it is also wonderfully transformed in a beautiful home-away-from-home: a house with a soul!

POPPY LUXURY LODGE Sleeps 8 at Fairview Farm, Ravenshead, Nottingham Near Sherwood Forest, Dog Friendly, Farm Stay great for wedding groups, families, Hen Do's, friends gatherings with amazing views... Fantastic surroundings outside, equally impressive inside. Comfortable, very well decorated and furnished. Poppy Lodge in it's own corner of the farm felt very private and exclusive. Kids loved having the horses as neighbours, with the goats a short walk away. The dog loved all the new smells along the farm walk. Never made much use of the games room, but was well equipped to keep the kids entertained, equally had the weather been better, the outdoor play area would have kept the children busy. Poppy Lodge in the summer will be amazing!
