Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. The whole experience was exceptional, the food magnificent, I would definitely recommend it and stay there again

I am afraid our stay at Kinugawa Keisui might have destroyed our expectations towards other hotels for the future. I can only describe it as absolutely outstanding. Beginning with the scenario location next to a forest and a small river, the huge, modern, beautiful and amazingly comfortable room, which didn‘t only feature several small welcome presents, a minibar filled with a wide (and free) variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and huge and comfortable beds, ending at the most outstanding breakfast and dinner consisting I was allowed to witness in Japan, the hotel and the amazingly kind and professional staff made our stay to be nothing but amazing. There are some many small details we could list, such as the outdoor fire place where you can read a book in a calm and relaxed atmosphere sipping your coffee, the bento boxes for travels during the day, the Onsen on your balcony for which you can adjust the temperature to your perfect needs, the entertainment system in your room should you chose to relax here, the staff which gives you privacy should you want it but helps with any need you might have, the fast and stable internet anywhere in the hotel and and and. We usually don‘t book hotels again, but we will definitely return here during our next Japan trip.

Shelter Garden Nikko ligger i Nikko, 2,1 km fra Nikko Toshogu-helligdommen, og har en have, en restaurant og gratis privat parkering. Fantastik sted midt i naturen med flot udsigt over skov og vandfald. . Snuk og original bæredygtig indretning. Meget opmærksomt personale. Lækker mad.

Fufu Nikko ligger i Nikko, 19 minutters gang fra Nikko Toshogu-helligdommen og 3,1 km fra Tōbu Nikkō Station. Her er en restaurant og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi. Best onsen and japaneese cuisine experience ever The staff was very polite and helpful We love everything :)

Nasu Onsen Sanraku ligger i Nasu, 27 km fra Shirakawa Station, og har gratis cykler, en have og et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis privat parkering. Fantastic experience I believe we were the only westerners there during our 2 night stay The service from the staff was the best we have ever experienced Everyone from the porter, front desk, kitchen and wait staff were fantastic The level of English was quite basic but this did not hinder our enjoyment at all The onsens really are as big and beautiful as the pictures suggest Westerners should not be afraid of the experience, they have a helpful guide on their website. Please be aware that guests with tattoos are not allowed in the public onsens (this applies for the majority of onsens but some places do cater for tattooed guests) The full Ryokan meal service was incredible So many flavours with the highest quality seasonal ingredients, all presented beautifully on incredible crockery We stayed in a Japanese style room in the east building which allowed us to enjoy a private room experience. Please check with the hotel if they will be able to accommodate this for you, it is worth it in my opinion A special thank you to the kitchen staff who were so delightful We had a travel mishap and phoned ahead to let them know we would be 30 minutes late (we were already booked on the last available time slot). They were very kind in accommodating us and did not rush us through our meal Excellent value for money, we were so satisfied with the experience Fantastic stay, we were sad to leave and we would love to return on our next trip to Japan

Nanaeyae har en god beliggenhed i Kinugawa Onsen-distriktet i Nikko. Det ligger 22 km fra Nikko Station, 25 km fra Nikko Toshogu-helligdommen og 41 km fra Kegon-vandfaldene. The kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were clearly the highlight of the stay. They might arguably have been worth the entire cost of the stay, and make the ryokan itself a destination for a quick trip from Tokyo. The setting is beautiful, looking down over a rushing mountain river. The staff were attentive and seemed to be genuinely sweet and caring people.

A 3-minute walk from Tobu Kinugawa Onsen Station, Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel boasts large Japanese-style rooms with a balcony, river views and free Wi-Fi. It features hot spring baths, and a sauna. Location was peaceful with one of the best views of gorge and surrounding hills of autumn trees. Easy walk to bus stations and local shops including best bakery .This hotel has wonderful helpful staff and the chef is one of the best we have experienced in all of Japan( high end kaiseki). We will stay here every time we are at Nikko

Kinugawa Grand Hotel Yumenotoki ligger i Nikko, 20 km fra Tōbu Nikkō Station, og har et fitnesscenter, en have og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. EVERYTHING!!!! The hotel is stunning! The service was wonderful. The food was amazing (we eat Kosher and no raw fish) and we booked it 2 months in advance after another ryokan couldn't prepare food for us even tho they said they could, and immidiately I;ve got a reply to my request with questions and a will to accomodate us and we really apriciate it. The onsen was a dream (especcially the outdoor one). Our friend had to live after one night in instead of 2 and the person who did our check in was nice and suggested to give her some refund wvwn tho it was same day notice. Will definitly come back again if we have the chance and will recommed it to everyone weknow :)

Grand Mercure Nasu Highlands Resort & Spa ligger i Nasu, 25 km fra Shirakawa Station, og har en sæsonåben udendørs swimmingpool, en restaurant og gratis privat parkering. Spacious and clean room. Good mountain view. Suitable for family with young kids. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend.
