Casa de São Lourenço - Burel Panorama Hotel - member of Relais & Châteaux ligger i Manteigas, 25 km fra Parque Natural Serra da Estrela, og har en have, en terrasse og en restaurant samt gratis privat... I wanted to visit this hotel ever since I saw it on Design Hotels and on Instagram, so I booked a specific room and we traveled from Lisbon for it. Check-in was seamless and even though the room I wanted wasn’t available at first, the staff were very professional, patient and polite. They showed me the room and even offered to have it cleaned quickly so we could take it. However, another equivalent mirror room turned out to be one I liked even more, so we stayed with the initially allocated room. Excellent service from breakfast to dinner in their restaurant. I had expected less because I saw some feedback on Booking about portion sizes, but everything exceeded expectations: food was great, portions were not small at all and again the staff were very helpful, attentive and caring without ever being intrusive. We didn’t try the spa or the swimming pool, but those also looked great. The fireplaces throughout the hotel have a cozy, wooden smell. Breakfast had a great selection, including a separate à-la-carte menu. I especially liked the baked apples with cinnamon. And of course, the room I booked was beautifully designed, exactly what I hoped to see, with a very comfortable bed, crisp bedsheets, a balcony view, concrete walls and a glass wall. The weather was quite cold and the staff immediately turned the heater up, even brought an additional one without hesitation. To conclude, the only regret is that we didn’t stay longer because we had a flight back. I will definitely return if I’m in the area again. Thank you for your service.

Found this place somewhat randomly and spent 3 night in their basic rooms, with the deck. The architecture, interior design, food, and most importantly service were impeccable and very high value for the money we spent. Especially the staff.. they went above an beyond to make sure you felt welcome and pampered. Great location if you want to spend a bit of time away and up in the mountains (hills) of Portugal. Highly recommended. p.s. We did make a stop for dinner at the higher rated (5 star) hotel owned by the same group. This location compared to that felt nicer. Both the interior design and people felt a lot warmer here.

TerraSense Mountain Charm Retreat & Farm ligger i Videmonte, 21 km fra Guarda Cathedral og 22 km fra Guarda Castle. Her er gratis wi-fi, aircondition, en udendørs swimmingpool og en have. We loved our stay at TerraSense! Travelled with our 2 kids and stayed at the villa. It was super clean and well equipped. The views to the mountains are incredible. The little ceiling on the upper floor allowing to see the stars at nights made our kids go crazy with joy. The host treated us so well and catered for all our needs, including a dinner in because my husband wasn’t feeling too well. Breakfast was also delicious. We saw the farm animals shortly before leaving and wondered how nice it must be during summer time (we went during peak winter). Would recommend it to anyone looking to rest and disconnect in the middle of nature.

Apartamento Luxury Mira Espanha na Guarda ligger i Guarda. Her er gratis wi-fi og udsigt til byen. Derudover er der en bar og direkte adgang til pisterne. Close to historic center and to supermarket. Excellent communication with the rental agency.
