Very well thought out rooms which had everything we needed. All the furniture, fittings and toiletries were top notch. The lobby is very nice as well with many types of beverages and snacks. The breakfast is excellent traditional Japanese food. They took care of our dietary restrictions as well. The photos do not do justice to this place. The hospitality was excellent. It is a little on the expensive side, but everything was great and our stay was relaxing. Definitely our best stay in Japan.

Staff were wonderful - kind, polite and incredibly accommodating - my partner cannot eat gluten and though we emailed before and they didn’t commit to adapting the menu, when we arrived and explained her dietary requirements, they adapted both dinner and breakfast without sacrificing anything. Onsen was lovely too.

The owner and team were so wonderful and looked after us beautifully. The suite itself was divine. Soaking in a cedar tub while looking at the forest floor is something we’ll never forget. The private dining room makes your stay feel even more exclusive. The food was truly out of this world. Our baby was catered for beautifully. We even had a large Moses basket in the dining room for her to rest. The area itself is very cool- there was an arts and crafts fair there when we stayed. There is a beautiful forest walk too. Can’t fault the stay and can’t wait to return one day.
