Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. The service is awesome! All the staff, from the reception to the dining room, are extremely helpful and friendly. The room is spacious for even five people. Their onsens are well maintained and beautiful. Dinner and breakfast Kaiseki are beyond my expectations.

Shikinosato Hanamura ligger i Minamioguni, 39 km fra Aso-bjerget, og har en have, en terrasse og gratis privat parkering. The staff were attentive and spoke English. Fujimoto-san in particular was very polite and friendly. He helped us from picking us to the bus stop to the end of our trip.  Although the location is not in Kurokawa Onsen town, the staff were accommodating and dropped us off and picked us up from the town and from and to the bus stop when we arrived and left. The room and onsens were clean and spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor private onsen in particular. The public cave onsen was also quite fun.  The dinner and lunch was delicious highlighted local ingredients expertly prepared by the chef.  Overall, our stay at Hanamura was beyond our expectations and was relaxing and peaceful.

Ryokan Yamanoyu ligger i Minamioguni, 40 km fra Aso-bjerget, og har gratis wi-fi samt gratis privat parkering. Denne ryokan med 3 stjerner har roomservice og gratis shuttletransport. The staff were super accommodating and friendly. The Onsen were amazing and many to chose from. If you arrive by bus it’s good to contact for a pick up as it’s a bit of a distance from kurokawa village.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. The place is wonderfully preserved and the staff is gentle and lovable, they are truly committed to enable their guests have a great time. What I liked: the hotel, location, staff, food.

Hanare no Yado Hanagokoro ligger i Minamioguni, 40 km fra Aso-bjerget og 49 km fra Kinrinko-søen. Her er en restaurant og gratisprivat parkering. Denne ryokan har 3 stjerner. The private onsen room is great! Clean and spacious, cozy bed and all. It was lovely how the dogs were welcome too, and they were thought of. The dog run was great! The staff was super friendly. We loved it here!

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan har 5 varme kilder, herunder et 30 m langt grotte-bad. Location. Stunning view and atmosphere. Sympathy from the staff. Kudos for Shujan for his kindness and informative interaction. Amazing food experience.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. The stay in the Kurokawa Onsen exceeded our expectations. We spent amazing 18 hours in the onsen. We had specious room with private onsen. We could also use the other onsens in the resort privately. Dinner was served in a private room. The serving, taste, presentation was of the level of Michelin restaurant. The staff pays attention of every detail. Definitely worth recommendation. We loved it!

Hotel Yumeshizuku ligger i Minami Aso i Kumamoto-regionen, 10 km fra Naka-dake. Der er spabad og sauna. Samtlige værelser på dette hotel har aircondition og fladskærms-tv. Worth the trip, and you can communicate in English.

Nanjoen ligger i centrum af Kurokawa Onsen-området og har i alt 8 indendørs/udendørs varme kilder. Der tilbydes indkvartering i traditionel japansk stil med tatami (vævet halm). gulv og futonsenge. We had a wonderful experience at Nanjoen...the Kaiseki dinner was fantastic, the staff was kind and helpful, location was terrific.

Great location, very nice setting and loved the different Onsen. The food was amazing and the staff very thoughtful and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.
