This place is very special for its quietness and pace. The room is very clean, very spacious with a very comfortable fouton, tv, hair drier, ensuite bathroom. Fridge, freezer and microwave and in the common area with a big dining room to work or eat. The owners are very very welcoming and positive people. Inside there is also a private onsen with hot water directly from the sorgent, clean and great facility. There is an extra tax to pay on site for onsen priviledge, i believe 150 yien per person per night. We took these days to rest and work a bit, we would stay there again!

This was a great introduction to a ryokan experience. While it’s part of a chain, it still felt authentic. Very spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. The onsen is one of the best we’ve experienced, with a view of ghe mountains. The food was so generous, prepared with the highest level of attention to sourcing local ingredients, respecting seasonal produce, and balancing flavors. This was a really lovely stay.

Oyado Koto No Yume ligger blot 2 minutters gang fra Takayama Station og har farverige værelser i japansk stil, kildevandsbade, en restaurant der serverer morgenmad samt gratis wi-fi i hele bygningen. Fantastisk stemning, meget autentisk og enormt hjælpsomt personale. Morgenmaden var overdådig. Helt perfekt ophold.

K's House Ito Onsen - Historical Ryokan Hostel ligger i Shizuoka i en 100 år gammelt fredet hus, blot 7 minutters gang fra JR Ito Station. Love this Ryokan. My second stay. Love the room that opens out to a small Japanese garden onto the river. Onsen on the property is so lovely. The lovely European girl who checked us in was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She stood out amongst the rest who were average. A beautiful stay in a very quiet desolate town. My favorite hostel due to its exceptional cleanliness and amenities.

Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort ligger i de rolige Hida-bjergene og har traditionelle værelser med bad med vand fra varme kilder og udsigt over landskabet. This is an Onsen Paradise!! Is like the Onsen amusement park! The place is incredible! So many services!! Everything is just amazing; the town, the hotel, the room, the baths… they even allow you to check the bath of another hotel, in case you did not have enough! I have been in many Ryokan and this was TOP!

The skincare products were exceptional—something I wouldn't even expect from the finest 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Honestly, this place surpasses even the most luxurious hotels. It’s not just a stay; it’s an experience. A true retreat for the soul—I left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and completely in awe of the beauty of this place. Highly, highly recommended!
