I had absolutely no expectations and simply booked the hotel because of it's proximity to the Monastery. The Resort is an absolute jewel, the architecture fits in with the natural world, and every view from any angle of the property offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and forest. The walk to the Monastery takes you through pristine forest and streams, and is a simple 10 minute hike. I especially enjoyed this, as the nearness meant you could split up the visit to the monastery and go back to the room to rest or change rather quickly. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant was top notch. My only regret was that I could not stay longer.

We recently stayed at Hotel Malyovitsa and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to offer their help. We especially appreciated the little touches. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay. Amazing location, nice hotel, small swimming pool though. The food (dinner) was very nice. At the breakfast we could order and they made it then so it was fresh and nice. The waitress didn't speak English, so it was a bit difficult and didn't get exactly what we ordered, but who cares, it was nice enough.

We choose Guesthouse the rock because of its proximity to the Rila Seven Lakes. The guesthouse looks new. It was clean and had everything we needed. We spoke directly with the owner, and she made the check-in process very smooth. The guesthouse was very thoughtful. We traveled with out medium size dog, and they provided bowls and a bed it was just a very thoughtful gesture. The guesthouse is located in a cute little town with restaurants, beautiful surroundings and wp close to the mountains. Highly recommend.
