First of all, the price/value ratio is great! We booked a room number to visit Art Basel. Host provided us with free public transportation voucher which we used all our stay. There's a tram connection with the city center (around 25 mins from the nearest station). The great advantage was that we had a free parking spot. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was so clean that we didn't have a feeling that it's shared at all. In our room (which was facing the road and the green field) we had a beautiful terrace with two chairs and a coffee table. We used to enjoy the beautiful sunset time there. The nearest cafes and restaurants were in 10-15 mins walking distance as well as the nearest grocery store.

The house was pristine clear, the bed was very comfortable and they were very helpful not only with check in, parking, breakfast, but also gave a lot of tips and good stories about Basel and their own lives. It was a perfect stay - the room was spacious, the view was beautiful, the personnel was very kind. The food in the restaurant Cheval Blanc (3 Micheline stars) in the hotel was extraordinary, absolutely amazing. The bar and the brasserie were also fantastic.
