Very nice place by the river, with a good price and perfect surroundings. We loved it and even stayed an extra night because the place was so relaxing. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and there is a very relaxed and friendly dog. We even saw two sloths during our stay.

The hostel is situated in a perfect location in the village center. Situated a 80 meters from the main road, so very quiet. Supermarket, bakery, Best Coffee and the company for booking rafting and other tours are at walking distance. In the morning you can hike opposite of the road to the nature reserve for birdwatching; and there are so many species of birds! In the afternoon you can walk to the river and have a swim or dip in to it to cool off. I booked a private room with private bathroom and the rooms are very big, so you can stay with 4 persons. The hostel has a lovely view, expect Ara's and many multicolored birds in the backyard snacking from the banana's. The owner Maria is so warm and friendly, and there are 2 lovely dogs who want to be friends with you as soon as you arrive. The facilities in the kitchen are very good. Everything is super clean and tidy, value for money is superb!

Incredible stay in beautiful tent surrounded by nature. Fantastic choice to break up drive from San Jose to Tortuguero. Klaus was very friendly. Outstanding breakfast. Two very cute dogs. Highly recommend to all!
