I had a wonderful night at Luna de Vilar. The place is so great - in the middle of the woods and mountains. It was an exceptional surprise. The listing gives an idea but doesn't encompass the pure escapism that washes over you when you arrive. It was just a 2 night stay for us and the furthest leg of our Northern Spain 3 week adventure but so very memorable. A lot of careful thought and planning has gone into the conversion with high spec accommodation. We so enjoyed all of our stay. We just met one of the hosts briefly on arrival but was then left 'to enjoy our home whilst there' as they put it. We'd visited Playas Cathedrals en route just an hour or so drive away ( try to go at low tide for the best experience) and very much enjoyed Lugo especially MIHL (amazing space and exhibition), Lugo cathedral and a walk of the city wall. You do need a car. We understand there is to be another property added at Lucio Rodinso later this year and would certainly like to return one day.

Nacho is an amazing host. Kind, warm and always accessible. The views are amazing and the garden a wonderful place to relax and have a wine from the nearby wineries.

This is a tiny village up in the mountains. It is a place to relax, connect with nature and enjoy the peace and quiet. That said it is only a short distance with easy access to Asturias gems including the cathedral beach and displays of local artisans skills. I went to take photographs and wasn’t disappointed, landscape, wildlife, woodland, it is all there. As for the hosts, nothing is too much. You arrive a stranger and leave a friend as they say, the local cuisine is exceptional in their restaurant overlooking the valley. In short this is an experience you won’t forget. Loved it

Lourdes is a great hostess, welcoming and offered helpful advice for places to visit. Apartment was spacious and beautifully renovated. Situated in a quiet village but easy to get to main roads and places of interest. We would stay again.

Best Albergue on the Primtivo. All the bunks had a privacy curtain, beds were comfortable, it was clean and had a good kitchen and bathroom. Washing and dryer facitilities, clothesline a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant had the best food and was very affordable. Much cheaper than other places! I highly recommend the Sopa De Pescado - huge portion and very delicious.
