Staying in Molino Tejada has been an extraordinary experience. The room we had was in a beautiful old stone building with wooden rafters. Echoing the owner’s area of expertise, it is decorated with exceptional taste. It also has a minimalist kitchenette, with coffee provided. There are communal rooms to relax in - one with a giant screen and another decorated with instruments and other objects, which has a glass floor to reveal the river that flows beneath it. There are books and objets d’art everywhere. We paid for the breakfast which is excellent. In the evenings there is a space outside where food and drinks are served. It is set in a truly magical place and very near many places of exceptional beauty.

Camping Cantabria is set in Polientes and has a saltwater pool and garden views. A public bath is available for guests.

Posada Los Vallucos has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in San Martín de Elines.

We arrive on motorbikes, slightly cold and tired …. Then entered our heaven for the evening! We opened the door to a lovely warm reception area with sofas and log fire burning in the corner. After being shown to our room, which was also wonderful with views over the countryside, we had a glass of wine in the lounge area to unwind from the journey. Later in the evening we enjoyed a lovely home cooked meal. Special mention to the excellent home made bread, which was delicious (both servings!) We slept very well and enjoyed a good breakfast the following morning. Thank you, thank you for making our stay so comfortable and memorable.
