The owner was lovely. Picked me up from the john o groats sign and dropped me off to start my walk in the morning, without charging. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, juice, ciffe and a range of cereals to chose from. The room was big, heating was warm I saw a deer from the window, and the shower was nice.

The location was very relaxing and quiet. Such a pretty outlook. The lounge was a lovely place to quietly read and we enjoyed the books and magazines on offer. The staff were friendly and chatty. A wonderful experience and well worth the stopover. I would thoroughly recommend staying there. It was such a treat.

This tiny pod was one of the best experiences we had in Scotland. It gave us a perfect sense of isolation from the outer world. It is tiny but has everything you need to enjoy the spirit of the area. You can also enjoy the private bathroom. Weather allowed us to have a walk to the sea and to enjoy our breakfast outdoors. We loved our stay!

Our stay at Burnside Cottage was amazing. Kacey was the perfect host, welcoming us when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and the shower great. In fact, the room was very well designed. We had everything we needed, including some really lovely organic soap and lots of hooks in the bathroom. Especially important for us, there was a fridge in the room. A lot of thought has gone in to making sure guests are comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, the best food we had been served so far in our trip. I would not hesitate to book again if we get the opportunity to return.
