This accommodation is by far the best one we’ve stayed at our entire trip. It’s in a beautiful quiet spot and has a beautiful view of the water and mountains. The surroundings are magical when covered in snow. Deffs consider booking if you are visiting in winter. The complex is super quiet, we didn’t hear/see anyone else. I have very high standards when it comes to cleanliness and it passed. I hope the owner and future guests (if you’re reading this don’t be a grub) can keep the place this clean all the time. It was very much appreciated.

Amazing location with unmatched views to the sea and famous Snaefellsjokkul glacier, near Ytri beach with funny seals. Home equipped as much as it could be and furnished with taste and love. Really feels like home, peaceful and calm. Ambience is great as well.

To say we loved the apartment is an understatement. We felt so at home in the space, it was cosy, very thoughtfully appointed and had everything you need to be comfortable. We stayed two nights and wish we’d stayed longer, it’s the perfect location to explore the peninsula. Asthildur and Jonni have thought of everything. Thank you for having us!

This guesthouse was delightful- I really loved it! The location was incredible- just a 5 minute drive from the famed Kirkjufell Mountain. The guesthouse had every amenity I needed. The bed was super comfortable, the room was spotless, and they left a key for me since I arrived late. My room had a stunning view of the mountains and the water, and I enjoyed the incredibly fresh, cool air from the window. I was also able to hop in my car and drive to town for an incredible dinner with no reservations- so convenient!!! The only thing I think should be noted is that the rooms all surround a central kitchen- so while I requested a quiet room, that wasn’t quite possible with people getting up early and eating, making coffee, checking out etc. So just be aware that there is ambient noise. Everyone did follow all rules for quiet time, took shoes off and were very respectful of others- which was great. This place was just fantastic and I hope I can return soon!! It was also a very good value!

The hotel is just 5 minutes away from Kirkjufell by car. I used room 7. It was pretty enough warm and cozy. The worker is extra kind and nice. Breakfast is not special but good. Even the worker provided some coffee when I leave there.

Everyone did follow all rules for quiet time, took shoes off and were very respectful of others- which was great. This place was just fantastic and I hope I can return soon!! It was also a very good value!
