The accommodation was excellent. Everything worked great. The welcome drink was very tasty and the sunset by the pool was breathtaking. The staff politely used the visitor's name in all interactions. I recommend this accommodation.

Thoughtfully furnished and very well kept lodges in a beautiful setting Great swimming pool. Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners and staff. A really relaxing spot. Even if you haven't the time or inclination to visit the elephant sanctuary across the river, you can watch the elephants bathe in The Mekong twice daily from your balcony - all of which face the river.

A brilliant new hotel with an attentive, English speaking owner who really cares about her guests having everything they need. We were picked up from the slow boat quay (without having to ask) and taken straight to the hotel. Check-in was seamless and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely and served on the balcony. Lift back to the pier in the morning. Can pay in KIP or US $ and we asked for the change in Thai Bhat. Would highly recommend for your slowboat stopover.

Steps from slow boat and staff were there to help with luggage. Breakfast was included and more than adequate.

-Fantastic hostel on the river bank of the Mekong - the location is almost right at the boat landing. - free pick up from the hostel is waiting for you at the boat landing. - the rooms are very nice and the view on the Mekong river and jungle is fantastic. Magical view of the Mekong and sunset. very close to the Pier Beautiful room and clean . you will see elephants bathing the morning there are pick up from the pier and drop back to the pier morning.

I was quite surprised to see the quality of the service (after reading some of the latest reviews). Our room was fully furnished and there were no bugs. However, we got a room in Thip Phavan Guesthouse and I don’t know whether this is the usual accommodation offered by Thipphaphone.

A quick overnight stay after day one on the slow boat. Monsavanh was a short walk up the hill, the very nice host met us immediately. Another short walk to an excellent restaurant before a good night's sleep. Also, the bakery across the road made us lunch to take the next day.
