This is the perfect place to land after a long flight. The environment is calm with a nice garden and the sound of birds in the morning. But even better is the hospitality of the hosts. Such a lovely family! They helped us out in every way they could, even before we had arrived at their place. Also, Eranda took us to a nice and quiet temple in his tuktuk. And Anusha makes wonderful meals! We could not have wished for a better start in Sri Lanka. Also convenient: the train station is close by.

One of our favourite places in Sri Lanka. On the road to Kandy lies a perfect little place with great facilities. The food is amazing (we also got some extra, fresh jackfruit during the afternoon), the staff is very friendly, the bed is great, shower lovely, the Wifi quick, communication swift, and it's affordable. Big room with desk, small sitting area and comfortable bed. The balcony with nice view over the pond is beautiful for relaxing at night. . Everything is very clean. Good food at the restaurant and also the Café Engine. Very nice staff. I have been here several times and will come again. After arrival or before departure at the airport I much prefer Veyangoda instead of the more touristy Negombo.

Breakfast was excellent, featuring a delicious Sri Lankan-style spread with great quality and variety. The location is ideal for a tranquil escape while still being conveniently close to Gampaha city, making it easy to access shops and restaurants. From here, you can also travel easily by train—whether pre-booked online or with regular tickets—to destinations like Ella, Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Hikkaduwa, and Mirissa. I highly recommend Gampaha Heritage for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and enjoyable stay in Gampaha.
