Really really impressed by Ruwan our host/cook/cleaner/pool attendant and all round good guy! The owner's were often around too and couldn't do enough to make our stay as perfect as possible. The swimming pool is a must in tropical humid sri lanka. What beautiful scenery, what a location. Long way from anywhere, so prepare to relax, soak in the abundant nature and read your book ... maybe bring some cards? The daily firefly evening display was spectacular, making the trees glitter like christmas trees ... laze in the pool and look up! In the days it's the eagles with their aerial display, lizards and of course the 'hoppity birds', woodpecker & kingfisher's, coming to assess the suitability of the guests. Swimming in the local river was nice, bit of a shame about the spontaneous viewing gallery though.

Very nice calm and peaceful location. Staff is very nice. They tried do the best for guests. Good service. We had a nice experience in a colonial time estate bunglow. Definitely we will visit this place again.

Location is absolutely beautiful. The private pool with amazing view is sick. Since you are a very steep drive away from town the owner Provides you with everything you need. Delicious home cooked meals Made by his wife. Drinks, snacks anything. 10/10

Wonderful hotel! We have the warmest memories of staying there. It feels like a real castle, but the level of comfort is quite modern, very clean, beautiful furniture, everything is new and fresh. The staff deserves special thanks! Manager Damith, chef Mahesh and all team were very kind, friendly and always ready to help. Everything was done to the highest standard. Also there is beautiful hotel territory to walk around. Incredible nature, a mango tree from which monkeys steal mangoes. Comfortable and clean pool with pleasant water temperature. Great food, you can order in advance and dinner or lunch will be served by a certain time. Lots of fruits are served. The location of the hotel is also good, it is a 2 hours drive to Kandy and not far from Colombo. Nearby there are a beautiful botanical garden, cinnamon plantations, waterfalls. Feel free to ask manager to help you with driver.

The people running this retreat were so lovely and so helpful. The pool is exceptional. The pools in many, places we stayed we diisappointing as they were smaller than they liked in the photo. This pool was the reverse, it's large and gorgeous, you can actually swim lengths
