Beautiful place just outside the town of Mogadouro. A couple runs the casa and are extremely pleasant and helpful. Since we were the only two staying that particular night, the woman there (with whom we spoke (broken) French, and I unfortunately didn't get her name) was very motherly and fed us an excellent breakfast with eggs, breads, fresh cheese and pastries. We couldn't eat it all!

Everything was great. The hotel is in a quiet village about 10 min drive away from Mogadouro. The parking is easy right outside. The house has a long history and the owners, Sr Mario and his mother Sra Odete, were really keen to share their culture with us. They also taught us some phrases in the Mirandese language, which was cool. The room we had was a good size, very warm with the heating working well, despite really cold temperature outside. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was homemade and the hosts were making sure we were satisfied. The night before we also tasted their homemade wine - delicious. Overall, it was a special experience staying in this place and getting to know these lovely people learning a bit about the local culture.

A dead-end apartment!! Fully equipped kitchen, electric stove, lots of space. Everything is charming and adapted for a long stay. We really enjoyed it!

Attentive, forthcoming and friendly staff. The room was spacious, modern, recently renovated and had everything you could ask for (except a bidet) Easy access from the national road and nice for hikes in the area. Quiet. Breakfast with home made jams, toasts, chese and ham. Very attractive pricing.

In short, everything. Our host (a delightful lady) was waiting at the gate to greet us. Our room had a balcony overlooking the valley and the village below - perfect to watch the setting sun. Our room was very comfortable, with a marble tiled en-suite. Breakfast (ham, cheese, croissants, tea, coffee, juice etc) is served in a large room and there is a fridge for guests' use. The salt water swimming pool is next to the house and great when the temperature is over 30C. For us, the surrounding area is fantastic - very little traffic and even fewer people. The nearest restaurants are in Mogadouro, a pleasant town,10km away. There are lots of local walks, with leaflets available describing them.
