We arrived very late but the staff came out to greet us and got us parked up. They offered us a complimentary cognac and showed us to our room. The whole place was built by the owner and used a lot of natural wood as furniture. The breakfast was a traditional Romanian one (others were on offer) and was all home made. The hotelier was extremely helpful and spoke good English. If you want a corporate experience, this isn’t the hotel for you but as a genuine example of Romanian hospitality at a good price, you won’t do any better.

Now and again there are places where you want to score 11. This is one of those places. It's worth the detour off the main drag because it has a charm all of its own, which you can find for yourself, without my 2 cents. I chose this place based on the reviews and was not disappointed ! Definately a good marker stop for Long distance travellers.

it was a bit hard to find the location as Google shows the address in the wrong location in the village, and we needed to ask someone, but it is at the edge of the village near the castle. The hosts are super friendly and showed us around and explained where we can go to see the view They are also operating the nearby restaurant, and the food was excellent

The house is located perfectly near Retezat National Park, close to the hiking trails in that area. It is quite a new construction, very well maintained and clean. There are a lot of common areas outside and inside the house where you can spend your time. It has a fully equipped kitchen, barbecue area, garden and parking spaces. There is also breakfast available upon request. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit that area.

Great location, close to Retezat mountains. Parking, shared kitchen and barbeque areas available. You will find quiet, cleanliness and a nice host! Definetely recommend! And we will definetely choose the same location for our next trip to Retezat!
