The owner and the two guys at the reception (who all speak Enhlish well) were really nice and went above and beyond normal customer service. They are really keen on ensuring everything is perfect and that you enjoy your stay. They even shared their WeChat so one could communicate in case of any issues or if you just needed general advice about Tangkou or Huangshan.Any issues I had were resolved promptly. I was there to hike Huangshan mountains, and they gave me all the necessary tips and assistance to ensure an enjoyable hike. The common areas also have a nice atmosphere. The location itself is beautiful with plenty of restaurants and beautiful sights. It is also walkable to and from the bus transfer service to the cable way. The owner can link you up with direct shared transport to/from Huangshan North railway station. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

The rooms were cute and the family staff was very helpful. When we didn’t know where to go on the mountain we could text them and they would give us directions. They gave us good advice for a local spa and arranged our transportation for the four days. The meals they prepared were very tasty and they had very good tea. Lastly they had a very cute cat. I would recommend staying here!

The location of the hotel was great, very short walk distance from restaurants and shops in Tangkou. The room was clean and comfortable, but the best part about the hotel is how helpful the host was with planning our trip to Huangshan Mountain. He sat with us and planned a great route to our hotel on the mountain and back down the next day, we were also able to leave our bags at the hotel overnight, and he organised us a taxi back to Huangshanbei station. I would also recommend eating at Jiaoluoli, it was 2 minutes from the hotel and served great noodles.

The entire hotel is very modern and looks newly renovated. They have all the amenities that you would want for a comfortable stay. It is located right next to the bus station for the Yuping cable car. The best thing about the hotel is the service. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I even managed to wechat message to make arrangements ahead of time for transportation needs when in the area. I highly recommend Cheng Jin if you are planning to visit Huangshan. Easily the best hotel during this trip!

Our stay at this guesthouse was absolutely perfect and exceeded all our expectations. Our host was simply wonderful and went above and beyond to make our trip to Huangshan memorable. She cooked us delicious and hearty breakfasts every morning, provided us with rides to the mountain entrance, and even drove us to local restaurants for dinner. Her recommendations for the best local places to eat and buy authentic Huangshan tea were invaluable. The accommodation itself was fantastic. We had a very comfortable, large bed and a stunning panoramic view of the mountains from our window. A real highlight was the private jacuzzi in the room – perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. The guesthouse also has a lovely, friendly cat that was a delight to come home to. The location is peaceful and about a 20-minute walk from the city center, where you can find numerous restaurants and shops. We would recommend this place 10/10 without any hesitation. The only very minor downside was that the room was a little chilly at times, but it was a small price to pay for such an otherwise flawless experience. We can't wait to return!
