The people that run the place are all so very nice. They always smile at you and are extremely friendly. So far the best place we stayed in Central America. We ca only recommend this place.

Great service from Javier and Enrique. Also all other employees were working with a smile and happy to help you with any kind of questions. We also received a nice tour through the beautiful garden. Easy to reach via whatsapp for any questions like boat pick-ups and happy to give tips for traveling. 5 star service! Rooms are clean and comfortable with great beds and it is a beautiful place.

Hostal Blood Moon ligger i Rio Dulce, 4,9 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Probably the nicest place of the whole town. There was such a beautiful Family vibe at the Breakfast table. Flor, the Person in Charge is super nice and helps you with tips and information.

It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante ligger i Rio Dulce og har en have, fælles opholdsområde, en restaurant og bar. + Location is 10/10. Never mind staying directly on the lake, this is is located along a tributary and it is so beyond peaceful! + The staff are SO friendly and really want to make your stay the best! + Free pick up and drop off via boat at specific times (I had to leave at 6am, so had to pay 50Q, but I expected this). + I stayed in the private double with en-suite. It’s located away from the main building, so peaceful, and the bed was super comfy + Expected tonnes of mosquitos, but actually it wasn’t too bad at all, just bring repellent

Hotel Hacienda Tijax Jungle Logde ligger i Rio Dulce, 6,2 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og har en have, en restaurant og en bar samt gratis privat parkering. The staff was realy friendly and helpfull. Location was perfect, very close to Rio Dulce. The room was very clean. The food and coctails very good. 😀

Banana Palms Hotel ligger i Rio Dulce, 13 minutters gang fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og har en udendørs swimmingpool, en have og et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis privat parkering. It’s in really good location. Very close to Castillo San Felipe and on the edge of Rio Dulce. It has complimentary kayaking and you can swim if you want to. It has two big pools, one for kids and the other for adults. The restaurant has a nice view of the lake and it has great food and a variety of options for everyone. The room is clean and comfortable with air conditioning.

We booked this hotel as we were driving to our destination. I called and asked if they would let us check in at midnight and they were happy to have us. When we arrived, they greeted us, showed us to our room, and said we could deal with the paperwork in the morning. When we woke up in the morning, I was astounded by their beautiful location, tranquility around the river, and excellent restaurant. The paperwork was fast and we had a delicious meal before continuing on our journey.I wish we had more time to enjoy their pool and riverfront views.
