My modestly sized room was efficiently organized with a window looking out at the ocean. While it was a bit blustery to take advantage of the big outdoor ocean facing deck, the property has a living room with abundant light. The young couple running the place had a full house when I was there, 2 young kids, and a dog, but they still made time to prepare delicious homemade scones for the self-service breakfast plus check in with their guests daily. My six days at Port Aran House were a gem and a highlight of five weeks in Ireland. Many thanks to Sokha and Kevin.

Breakfasts are provided each morning, and Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The hostess was lovely, and very willing to speak Irish to us. She was very friendly and helpful. The food and attention to detail was great. The view was stunning.

The hotel is in the heart of the Gaeltacht where the Irish language is still spoken. In the local area there are good walks, boat rides and Dun Aongusa Fort. We had fantastic in Aran Islands Hotel. The property is clean and staff very friendly. We definitely coming back
