It was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen appliances were complete and beautiful. The entire house was nicely designed. Very open concept layout and spacious. The balcony was outstanding for breakfast on a sunny day. Check in was smooth and parking was spacious.

Mieko-san and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming. Mieko-san even hosted a small workshop where we made souvenirs together and she let me try on some of her beautiful kimonos. They were eager to share their knowledge of Japanese culture, especially unique aspects of life in Tako-machi. The ryokan itself is cozy and makes you feel at home. It was clean, comfortable, and full of character. We would come back to this ryokan for the owners alone, but the town also has its charm - letting us experience authentic japanese everyday life on the country side. Our stay in Tako-machi and Masugataya Ryokan was truly unforgettable<3

The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The location couldn't be better - located along Naritasan Omotesando and directly across from a beautiful temple and park. The public bath was also so enjoyable.
