For a hostel it was a fantastic experience. The 5 stars of hotel stays. Especially the Japanese style tatami room we really enjoyed. We never waited once for toilet or shower use the whole time we were there. The kitchen area was inviting and great to work from. The staff were very kind, and even though we had a misunderstanding at the beginning of our stay, in the end, everyone was very nice. Everything is quite close in Aizu to the hotel, the only downside is how far it is from the main station.

This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

The couple running the place are really kind, they treated me like family. We ate together, chatted together, they told me all the best onsen and restaurants around the house. They were so kind, it’s hard to describe. The house was cleaned and functional and there are a lot of onsen and restaurants at a walking distance from there. I stayed one more day just to be around those people more. Thank you, Taku and Midori for a nice stay.

Simpy WOW! It is really an amazing place. We stayed there for one night just to get the experience in staying in a ryokan with onsen. We like anime so we chose this one as it has some features of Demon Slayer anime :) Room was amazing, sleeping on futons was really comfortable. Room was spacious. We were wearing yukatas during our stay and it was just amazing! Onsen was wonderful! And the dinner - OMG - super tasty! we felt really welcomed there and taken care of. One staff member who spoke English very well was explaining us what we were eating, how to cook different parts of the meal etc. It was so lovely. We really appreciate that! If we ever come to Japan again we will go there for sure.

Tagoto ligger 5 minutters kørsel fra Aizu Wakamatsu Station og har et varmt offentligt bad, japanske og vestlige værelser samt japanske retter. I throughly enjoyed my stay at Tagoto. The staff were inviting and very helpful, going the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. The staff noticed I was having trouble fitting into the standard size slippers and couldn't walk up the stairs in them. Shortly after checking in, I went out for dinner and then returned and they had prepared me a larger pair of slippers. This was a lovely surprise and the fit was much more comfortable. The staff offered recommendations for places around Aizuwakamatsu and were patient with me attempting to speak / learn more Japanese. The breakfast was amazing! I got to try so many new interesting traditional dishes. The staff serving was very helpful and friendly.

The place is spacious, comfortable, clean, well-equipped. Just felt like a perfect home. The balcony is awesome. We met some trouble during the trip and checked in lately; however, the owner was kind and patient. We greatly appreciated it! Will definitely recommend this property and visit again if I come back to Aizuwakamatsu.
