Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Really lovely welcoming guesthouse with great staff. Food was everything we needed.

From the moment we arrived until the very last minute, our stay at Miyajima Seaside was truly unforgettable. ​The hotel itself is a characteristic architecture, beautifully maintained, located in an enchanting location. ​The impeccable service provided by the entire staff, their kindness and courtesy were remarkable. They demonstrated extreme availability and sensitivity to our needs, ensuring every aspect of our visit was handled with grace and efficiency. ​It is rare to find a place where the setting, the structure, and the service align so perfectly. We wholeheartedly recommend and we look forward to return soon.

A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto boasts an outdoor hot spring bath. It offers luxurious Japanese-style and Western rooms and a free shuttle from Miyajima Pier. I need to rave abut this hotel. Firstly, i had arrived onto miyajima island really late due to some confusion in kyoto. I had informed the staff that I was delayed and was likely to only arrive after 9pm. They told me to call the hotel so that they can send the shuttle over but once i arrived, i saw that the shuttle was already waiting for me! And I was delayed from the time I told them I would arrive so they must have waited longer than expected. Once I got to the hotel, as they knew to expected me, check in was super quick. Hotel was beautiful and the single rooms were really cute (though small in the way japanese rooms usually are). Location of the hotel also cannot be beat it is right in the middle of all the attractions, and the staff were knowledgeable about the opening hours of attractions. Just when i thought it could not get better, when i told the hotel I was trying to catch a particular ferry timing back to hiroshima, they rushed me to the terminal and i managed to make the ferry! The team went above and beyond to make this solo traveller comfortable and safe. Thank you so much! :)

Kinsuikan ligt in Miyajima, op 2,6 km van Tsutsumigaura Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een restaurant. The dinner was incredible! They brought it to our room and had an English menu to explain what the different food items were. The onsen was also very nice and we also enjoyed having drinks in the rooftop bar area! I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel Miyajima Villa ligt in Miyajima, op 2,3 km van Tsutsumigaura Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een restaurant en een bar. The ROOM. It was luxuriously spacious and the design very well thought of! There were 3 of us in the room and we didn’t feel cramped at all. There was lots of space to move around comfortably. The design of the bed was amazing! It was one long bed made from hard wood, fitted with 3 single mattresses side by side. In between the mattress there was space to put your phone, charger, watch, etc which effectively acted as a side table without wasting any space! And also there were power outlets for each ‘bed-side’, so there was no shortage of where to plug power chargers! That was a great plus! And though the bed frame was solid wood, it was very comfortable to sleep on, and I woke up every morning with no neck or back pains! The bathroom was also very well thought of. The wash sink, toilet and shower/bath tub were all separate, so all 3 of us could use the bathroom at the same time without waiting for our turn! One could wash her face first, while one was taking a shower and one using the toilet. Again, amazing! I especially loved how strong the water was because when I took a shower, I was also pooling water in the tub at the same time to soak in after, and the water pressure on both was strong! We loved the entertainment in the room as well. It was a big screen SmartTV where we could stream Netflix, Prime, YouTube, etc. Then, let’s talk about the massage chair. YES! there’s a massage chair in the room which was a perfect treat after our long trip from Tokyo, to Hiroshima then the ferry ride to the hotel. The location is one of the highlights. It’s right in front of the ferry station, which again was a plus since we were traveling with my elderly Mum who uses a wheelchair. Although we didn’t get to use the onsen, we did get to take a peek just to see the panoramic view. Very nice! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Every small feature was carefully thought of, and no expense was spared on the amenities at all!

Mizuhasou ligt voor het Miyajima Aquarium en op 5 minuten lopen van de uitgang van het Itsukushima-heiligdom. Het biedt accommodatie met een moderne maar traditionele inrichting. Everything was fantastic - the rooms came with Yukatas, pajamas, vests, tea, water, a towel bag and one face wash set. The breakfast in the morning was unbelievable - that alone made the price well worth it, but add in the baths and lovely rooms & decor - just an unbelievable stay.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Fantastische onsen, heerlijk avondmaal en ontbijt, elke keer anders, gratis shuttle, ligging. Wij hadden 2 verschillende kamers omdat er geen 2 nachten in dezelfde kamer vrij waren en van de verhuis hoefden we ons niks aan te trekken. Dat werd allemaal perfect voor ons geregeld.

Yamaichi Bekkan bevindt zich op 8 minuten lopen van The great Torii en 1,1 km van Momijidani Park, en biedt kamers in Miyajima. The old lady at the front desk who checked us in and helped serve us dinner and breakfast was adorable. She spoke a little bit of English and seemed genuinely excited to see us when we would go in and out of the hotel and made us feel very welcome. 10/10 just for her. The location is directly across from the ferry terminal which is convenient for dropping bags off before exploring the island. I believe Yamaichi Bekkan is associated with the Yamaichi Honten restaurant on the other side of Lawson (Bekkan = "Annex" while Honten = "Main shop") so the dinner and breakfast were surprisingly good. Basically the same food as the restaurant. It's great to walk around the island after the crowds have gone for the day.

Bettei Fujiya is gelegen in Miyajima, op 26 km van Vredespark van Hiroshima, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. We had an incredible stay! This location is a bit outside of Hiroshima, but very easy to get to by cab or train. The facilities were beautiful, and our room was comfortable with very thoughtful amenities and a beautiful private onsen. The main lobby has bountiful snacks and an incredible sake selection, as well as tons of other beverages that we could help ourselves to as we pleased. Both of our meals were so delicious, much more food than we were able to eat, and our whole party got to share a private dining room with an open hearth. This was truly a wonderful experience, and I would recommend anyone to book here and make the trip!

宮島離れの宿 IBUKU -Miyajima Hanare no Yado IBUKU- ligt in Miyajima, op 28 km van Vredespark van Hiroshima, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren en een restaurant. It was a highlight of my trip! The staff were so kind and attentive and even drove me from and to the bus station. The food was great and their gift shop was full of lovely items.
