Right next to the gondola, a short 1 minute walk. I skied to the G Square entrance after an awesome day on the slopes. There's a few bar/restaurants right next door. My room overlooked one of the runs. I could see the lifts and gondola from my room. Spacious bedroom with shared bathroom and sink just outside. Onsen downstairs. Dry room to leave my boots and snowboard overnight. Walking distance from the Bus terminal and the shops.

Kameya Hotel ligger i Tsuruoka, 3,5 km fra Kamo Aquarium, og har en have og gratis privat parkering. Ryokanen har en varm kilde og en døgnåben reception samt gratis wi-fi overalt. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very comfortable! The bathtub is what sold me on the room! Nice big tub with views over the ocean and hot spring water pumped directly into your bathtub! The included breakfasts were also very good, very large servings, I didn't need lunch the days I had the breakfasts. The on-site onsens were heavenly, the "help yourself" coffee station was great, and the shop had all the things I like from the hotel available to buy ( got caramel apple tea and the lovely skin sets to take home). Highly reccommend this hotel!

Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery ligger i Tendo, 30 km fra Zao Skiresort, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Denne ryokan har 5 stjerner. The Breakfast is good enough as me and hubby both are vegetarian but the dinner are exceptional very well planned n delicious!! Defiantly will come back again!

Takasagoya Ryokan ligger i Zao Onsen. Denne ryokan har 3 stjerner. Her er en restaurant, aircondition og gratis wi-fi. Alle værelser har et fælles badeværelse. Our room had a view of the public osen which was nicely lit up at nice. The steam film the hot springs contrasted nicely with the snow. Very friendly and hospitable family. Felt well taken care of. They even came out in the biting cold to clear the snow from our car.

Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya har naturlige varme kilder og ligger 15 minutters gang fra JR Tendo Station og 50 km fra Sendai. Der er gratis wi-fi overalt og gratis privat parkering på stedet. Beautiful property. The room was spacious! Even for Western standards. The private onsen was very nice. We did not try the public onsen. The staff were courteous and helpful. Although the staff had limited English proficiency, they all used a translation app to help with communication which was incredibly helpful.

Aftensmad og morgenmaden består af 5-7 mindre retter, som generelt var godt. Tror vores største problem med det var at det var meget anderledes smage ift. dansk standard 😅 Generelt hvis man skal prøve en rigtig japansk oplevelse, er det et fint sted for det.

Miyamaso Takamiya ligger mindre end 10 minutters gang fra svævebanen Zao Sky og har 9 naturlige varme kilder. Ejendommens trækonstruktion er en blanding af traditionel japansk indkvartering. Very nice, old style but classic hotel. Staff very supportive and food was very good

Guesthouse Mintaro Hut ligger i Yamagata, 18 km fra Zao Skiresort. Dette pensionat har 1 stjerne samt værelser med aircondition, gratis wi-fi og et fælles badeværelse. Incredible staff, the hosts are so kind and make you feel at home, there’s a group dinner you can join every night and it’s always amazing food. Great location in between Kita-Yamagata and Yamagata station. I will definitely return, I really loved staying here
