Vivaldi Ocean World and Play Park is very close, although this Sono Village Facility is not directly connected, but up in the mountains. However, with fodo and drink, for a separate family gathering, it's perfect!

Han var imødekommende, venlig, sød og så laver han den bedste toast til morgenmad! Derudover er der også et helt fantastisk hjemmelavet kort i opholds rummet med anbefalinger og gode ideer til hvad man kan se og opleve. Derudover ligger det lige ved siden af bus terminalen så man kommer nemt der hen - selv med store kufferter. Gå afstand mange fine seværdigheder og til bus der kører dig direkte til Seoraksan! Værelser er så fine, med dejligt tryk på bruseren! Kan kun anbefales herfra!

Heidi Korea ligger i Hongcheon i Gangwon-Do med Lordhills Golf and Resort indenfor 7 km og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis wi-fi, en legeplads, en terrasse og gratis privat parkering. We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.
