Gal Oya Lake Club ligger i Paraganakele og har pooludsigt, restaurant, roomservice, bar, have, udendørs pool (der er åben hele året) og terrasse. Absolutely brilliant! The service from everyone from the time we arrived was exceptional, so friendly and welcoming, and assisted and advised with anything. The facilities are great, nice clean swimming pools, the grounds are very nice and the rooms were great-large, immaculate and good facilities, and great to see the sustainability such as refillable stainless steel drink bottles instead of plastic. The restaurant was very good, and reasonably priced. The activities arranged were good, the lake safari seeing elephants and many birds. And using the kayaks on the lake from the jetty right out front was great (we didn’t try the fishing, but that was another option). And of course just the peace and quiet location to relax in luxury. The children’s favourite was Ronnie, the very friendly dog.

The property is pretty much spotless and located just meters from the Indian Ocean, which means you can hear the waves ALL NIGHT. The staff is super attentive and thoughtful, from the caretakers to the bartenders to the management. I was also pleasantly surprised to find real Neapolitan pizza, a wide selection of Italian wines, and caffè corretto with Sambuca (!) – just when I started missing European flavors a bit ;) And if that wasn’t enough, the yoga classes first thing in the morning put you in a blissful mood. Would definitely come back <3

The location was great. If you don't want to stay in crowded Arugambay this is the right place for you. You have your own pirvate beach, a little cabana, good food at the restaurant and it is the cleanest hotel we have been in Sri Lanka.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Very nice, place, about 10 minutes walk from the center of Arugam Bay, but they provide free bicycles, so it’s relatively easy to get there. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is filling enough and they provide free yoga sessions every day and also surfing lessons (cost is similar to that in the city).

Meget sød og betænksom familie. Jeg havde et ømt håndled og straks hentede moren en creme og smurte det. Min mand hostede og straks lavede de varmt vand med lime. Fint rummeligt værelse.

Everything we needed! Tari, had already cleaned our room even though we arrived earlier and forgot to inform him, the room was pretty comfortable with a big bed, small table and hangers to organize our stuff, bathroom and a balcony in the entrance. There is space for parking and for surfboards besides a collective area for breakfast. The homestay is about 3 minutes walking from the beach and from the center of the city but is still protected from noise. We really liked our stay! Thank you Tari for receiving us and sorry for the early arrival!
