We stayed only one night at the beginning of the season in Kalpitiya, and we had a great stay here. The chalets are spacious, modern and super clean, the bathrooms were huge as well. The courtyard had also a great vibe with the sand and the palm trees providing some shade. The staff were super friendly and accommodating - we also had breakfast here and coffee, both were great choices.

The host and cook is amazing and he makes delicious meals. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is partially open air which was really cool. The hammocks and tables made it a peaceful haven. The pool was still being made when I went but it will be a really nice addition. I highly recommend this place.

Windy Waves Beach Nature Resort & Kite School ligger i Kalpitiya, 0 minutters gang fra Kudawa Strand, og har en have, et privat strandområde og et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis privat parkering. Vi kunne ikke have drømt om et bedre sted. Det er enkelt, men udsigten, personalet og restauranten var helt i top. At få lov til hver dag at spise med sand mellem tæerne og udsigt til bølgeskvulp er for os den største luksus. Utrolig søde mennesker og exceptionel seafood. Vi er så taknemmelige.

The Backwaters lodge has everything that a naturelover is looking for. We really had the best time here in the middle of nowhere close to the Wilpattu National Park. The staff is really helpfull and very friendly, the rooms are right into nature but still have the luxury of having warm water and AC, great and an extended breakfast and dinner, I can go on and on. If you want to go on a safari at Wilpattu they can arrange a private jeep for you (which is a must do ofcourse). Further to fill in your time you can just hang out at the beautifull chillspots on the ponds or in the jungle or you could go kayaking with the kayaks available at the lodge. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lodge a little more.

The family/owners were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and courteous. I loved the tranquillity of the accommodation, the sound of the birds, and the palm trees.. the Boras were very functional, and the bed was very comfortable 😴 Definitely recommend solo travellers, I felt extremely safe here. IDEAL for relaxation and a wonderful place to chill
