Perfect stop going from the skeleton coast to etosha. The bar , the dinner area. It's a really relaxing place. We stayed in a campsite. We had our own bathroom and a big picnic bench. There is also a tyre repair shop which was super helpful for us. The drive from here to etosha was epic.

In stone lodges on the edge of the Etendeka Plateau, rooms at Grootberg Lodge offer far-reaching views. With an outdoor pool, it is run by an organisation that aims to improve local welfare. It was an amazing stay! The setting was magical, the staff were incredible, and a very thoughtful gift basket made our honeymoon extra special. We’ll never forget the warmth and care we felt at Grootberg — truly a highlight of our trip!

Good home cooked food. The tents were comfortable and the bucket shower, to my surprise, was quite adequate. Our guide was knowledgeable and we both were pleased that we were persuaded to do the walks. This is a wonderful place to stay in a superb landscape. Good game viewing as well.

The view from the restaurant is unbelievable at sunset, and the food is delicious. The staff are kind and easy-going and help to organize whatever activities you would like to do.

Good re-imagination of the old Fort. Big trees in the yard. Great view from the tower. Good food. Friendly people. Ernest is the perfect guide for a drive into the Hoanib river bed and visiting the desert elephants. We did this in our own car.
