The host was amazing… responded quick and gave detailed instructions and also included information that made the drive there easier.

Less than 1 km from Midway Beach, the guest house offers a garden and barbecue facilities. When staying at the guest house, guests can use private entrance. Such a quaint little stay. Unfortunately there for a Tangi and last minute decision to not drive tired. Absolutely loved loved loved the beds and pillows, so much so, I had to come home and buy that mattress. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The Host Nic was very courteous and accommodating your every need (next time I'll make sure to include some preferences and read the compendium haha) . Above and beyond service. Great breakfast, refreshments and well equipped little kitchenette. It was located on the Road where I first lived in Gisborne, right opposite my old school Awapuni school. Great off street parking, and I noticed you can also charge an electric car there for all the electric car owners. Close to the beach (went for a metal detect) close to town and very quiet. I am defintely going to recommend to others who visit Gisborne. It was very nostalgic for me and bought back so many memories after being away a good 29 years. Super chuffed with my stay. PS. I now know how to use a smart TV as well :)

It felt like a home away from home — so cozy, clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing, especially Caroline, the manager. She made sure we had everything we needed for our Christmas BBQ and was just so accommodating and welcoming. The cleaning crew were also amazing and friendly. Then there’s the beach! Beautiful Wainui beach is a two minute walk away.
