Staff keep the rooms and communal areas under 24/7 air con so you immediately start to cool down when coming in from the heat. (They don't go in your room and turn off the a/c like many hotels!) The welcoming was very warm and a professional check-in. Even we were offered a late check-out (which we didn't need). The hotel fascilities are great, the rooms are clean and the breakfast has a fantastic buffet for all tastes. The staff? Wow, just great - you feel home at all time. The way to downtown Muscat is just 20 minutes.

Muscat International Airport is a 45-minute drive away. Downtown Muscat and Al Alam Palace are a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Car rental can be arranged by the 24-hour staff. Free private parking is available at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel. In the 80's in Time Magazine Al Bustan Palace published beautiful ad and since then I wanted to visit this place. During my recent first visit to Oman I knew that I must stay at Al Bustan Palace. This place is everything I Imagined long time ago in the 80's. It is a real Palace built for kings and princes of the Gulf states. Arabic themed buffet dinner was of the highest quality with amazing variety (tagine, shuwa, maqluba, shawerma, . . .). Frankincense scent in the lobby, fires in the garden during the evening, beautiful colors on the mountains during sunset and sunrise . . . We kindly received room upgrade and late check out. One of the few truly magical places in our world (like La Mamounia in Marrakech)

Very beautiful and quite with sophisticated and luxurious touch. They have 3 pools and one of the longest in the Middle East. They provide ACs in bathrooms if you feel the weather is hot. The club lounge was pretty good. The service was super good and very kind and accommodating staff. Laundry service was quick and efficient.

Unwind by the double-deck infinity pool or natural private beach surrounded by the glistening waters as the sun dips into the Gulf Sea. We had a wonderful stay - great internet and facilities. The staff were great too
