Located close to shops and restaurants. One of my best stays in Pakistan. Highly recommend.

Duroyo hotel has a shared lounge, terrace and ski-to-door access in Gilgit. With a garden, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Probably the first time a hotel looked better than in pictures. The exterior is a bright and freshly painted white and red. Interior has a rustic, cottage decor, with traditional wall hangings and rugs. My upgraded room had an accent wall draped entirely with cow (yak?) hide fur. There is a terrace to enjoy the view of the mountains, and I was lucky to enjoy this place in the off season of February, while weather was not bad at all. The ride and walk up to the 7th century Buddha carving in Kargah was very pleasant, and the driver told me lots of things about the area. Overall, very homey and friendly, family-run guesthouse.

The room with a balcony offered breathtaking views of Rakaposhi and Diran Mountain – waking up to that scenery was a dream. The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, making it feel like a true retreat. The staff were amazing, especially Amir, who was thoughtful and seemed to anticipate all my needs. I initially booked for one night but ended up staying for a month because of the peaceful atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk from Karimabad Bazaar. A special thank to the owner, Noushad, who went above and beyond to help me organize my trips, guide, taxidriver and make sure I had everything I needed. This is by far the most peaceful place in Karimabad, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!"

Hunza Serena Hotel can conveniently provide information at the reception to help guests to get around the area. Not usually somewhere we would stay. It was refreshing to have some western amenities, gym/pool/sauna. Amazing room with a view and the breakfast buffet was awesome, some great local food variety and an omelette / waffle station. The hotel is new, location is close to the batit fort though be prepared for some hills if you are on foot.

We booked through Booking.com and they told us we were their first guests from the platform which was such a sweet surprise. To welcome us they beautifully decorated our room and left a very cute message for us it was such a thoughtful gesture. The service was outstanding and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the view from our window was truly beautiful. We felt very well taken care of and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay!
