As soon as we looked out the window, we were treated to an incredible northern lights show – an absolutely magical welcome! The next day, Stefan took us on an amazing trip to the mountains, where we saw a herd of moose up close. Later, we explored the frozen lake and surrounding forest on snowmobiles, which was such a thrilling adventure! In the evening, we relaxed in the wood-burning sauna, which was perfect after a day out in the cold. To top it off, we went for another snowmobile ride at night, which created an incredible and almost surreal atmosphere. Stefan is a fantastic host—very welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about the area. He made sure we had the best experience possible. If you’re looking for a true Arctic adventure combined with comfort and stunning nature, Camp Caroli is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

Aurora River Camp Glass igloos & cabins ligger 19 km fra Kiruna Station. Overnatningsstedet har gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Hyggeligt sted. Rigtig fin tur over isen til spisemuligheder. Ejerne var virkelig søde og hjælpsomme. Fik mulighed for at handle lidt ind under transfer. Der er dog også en coop i gåafstand om vinteren. Meget rent og fint sted.

Micke o Ritas stuga ligger i Björkliden. Der er privat parkering på stedet og gratis wi-fi. Everything about this place is amazing, the best value by far in the area! If you like nature this place is the best ever!!! You even hear the river at night. Beautifull short hike from the house along the river to a stone beach on the lake. Close enough to train station to walk.

Arctic Colors Northern Lights Apartments ligger i Porjus. Der er gratis wi-fi og privat parkering på stedet. Host was very friendly. Gave me a tour of the place and ensured I had key. I liked my name on the board outside the door too. Made me feel appreciated. Kitchen had essential items to cook and make coffee. I would stay again and for longer if given opportunity.

The place has a very beautiful view with an accommodation that is carefully thought through and provided for all that we needed. Martin and family have been very welcoming and helpful, taking care of our family for the period in all we needed

Laplanders rooms ligger i Kiruna, 6,3 km fra LKAB Visitor Centre, 39 km fra Esrange Space Center og 4,1 km fra Kiruna Folkets Hus. Laplander Room lå helt perfekt, tæt på Kirunas nye centrum og med perfekt udsigt til kirkeflytningen. Stig, som ejer stedet, er enormt hjertevarm.

Holy Motors camp ligger i Kvikkjokk og har et fælles opholdsområde, direkte adgang til pisterne og grillfaciliteter. Small and cosy hut that accomodates up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Lovely living room/kitchen, hot shower. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and offer breakfast if you wish. For dinner go to the fjällstation (reservation!), it‘s about 15 min walk to the fjällstation, 10 min to the bus stop.

Camp Caroli Mini lodge ligger i Kiruna, 21 km fra Kiruna Bus Station, 21 km fra Esrange Space Center og 24 km fra LKAB Visitor Centre. We stayed at the mini lodge for a couple of nights in late September. The place is quite cozy and convenient. The best feature of it - by far - is the view. Right in front of the lake, with only a thin line of trees. We got some pretty good views of the aurora from inside the cabin. The attached picture was taken from inside (using a tripod of course). You can literally catch the aurora while seating on the couch or on the armchair! Relatively secluded as well, as it is located at the end of the road.
