The place is so beautiful, the mountains, the view, the decoration and the comfort in the rooms. And the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We stayed there with our 4 children and would come again if given half the chance. And the town of Tamezret, just a few minutes away on foot, was a very poetic visit.

Stay in Matmata Chez Azouni ligger i Matmata i regionen Gabes og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis privat parkering. The flat is a hidden gem, everything was super new and very clean. It is very well decorated and equipped. We had everything we needed such as coffee machine, plates, washing machine, hob, airconditionning and heating, duvets and towels. We felt spoilt with the fresh breakfast delivered to our door, we had a variety of food that kept us full all day along with coffee and fresh juice. The area is super safe, we walked around at night, and it felt very safe. The host were very kind and helpful, the let us in and kept asking if we need anything, we felt very welcome. There are great restaurants and coffee places few minutes away. It is highly recommended to stay in this luxury spot to explore Matmata, and to visit the Troglodyte homes and to discover the impressive veiws of the mountains around. The flat has great views over the mountains. We will definitely come back again to discover the whole area around Matmata.

Maison El Omrane 2 er et overnatningssted med en have og en terrasse der ligger i Bin Rhilouf, 15 minutters gang fra Belvedre Parc, 2,8 km fra Sidi Mahrez Mosque og 3,1 km fra Dar Lasram Museum. Great place overall. Host was super helpful and we had absolutely no issues. Only slight drawback was the location as it isn’t very central but we needed to be in this area so it was not a problem at all

The warm hospitality and exceptional meals make staying here an easy choice. We especially enjoyed dining with other guests. Despite the language barrier, we connected with the French ladies at our table, with host Patrick kindly translating. It was a delightful surprise to have such an authentic French experience in Tunisia. Writing in the guest book with ink for the first time made it even more special. Staying here is worth it for the dinner alone—the most delicious way to taste camel meat and dates!

This family-run troglodyte-style hotel has been around since 1975, and you can feel the tradition and warmth. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms, carved into the rocks, are super unique, well-furnished, and come with a private toilet and shower. And the food? Absolutely amazing! For just 25 dinars, you get a massive dinner : soup, salad with brick, main dish, and dessert. Good luck finishing it all! 😄 Plus breakfast is included. A fantastic place to stay for an authentic and cozy experience!

Hvis msn er meget høj skal man bære opmærksom på, at døråbningerne på nogle af værelserne er meget små.
