Great location, amazing clean room for a family of 5. Very happy with this stay. Even had all the Power Points needed to charge all our portable devices. Huge shower and enough space to sit all the kids at a table for dinner while the adults snuck into the lounge area.

Set within a former Gentlemen's Club, YHA Newcastle Beach has retained heritage features including a communal lounge area with a fireplace, wood panelling and leather sofas.

Everything. Lots of communal seating indoors and outside. Kitchen was big with all the pots/pans/utensils you will need. Fridge/freezers to store your food, a lot of tables for all to eat at. Dorm was comfy with lockers inside room. Showers/toilets upstairs separated for men and women, enough in the men’s. Good location near to the beach. Newcastle was quieter than most places but nice for a change after Sydney. The staff were very helpful and always happy to help. Free hire of bikes to use.
