I can’t recommend this place enough. It was the highlight of my trip to Colombia. The perfect place to stay if you look for tranquility and pure nature. Mecana is such and beautiful beach, and Sky and Sand is the most special place to stay at. Luisa made my stay just perfect. Her smile and love for nature are contagious, and her meals are delicious. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. And the activities offered were a great way to experience everything that Mecana has to offer. I wished I could have stayed longer!

We had an amazing time at Posada Madre Tierra, and would recommend anyone to stay here. We speak very little Spanish but Carlos and Teresa were incredibly kind and generous and made us feel part of the family. The homemade food and juices were simply incredible, we left with full hearts and stomachs! All of the pets were very cute too, it was so wonderful to experience a home that truly cared about their natural environment around them and learn about the history and surroundings. Staying here was a true highlight of our South America trip.

This hostel is amazing. I really regret not having discovered it from the beginning. I stayed fifteen days in the Valley, and before arriving at this hostel I stayed somewhere else where the service was terrible. People in the area recommended Humpback to me, and what a pleasant surprise it was! It’s a spectacular place. The staff make you feel welcome at all times; they help you with everything and turn your experience into something truly beautiful. You can tell the hostel is very well managed. In fact, the hostel manager is lovely and always attentive to your needs. The food is spectacular and delicious. Cleanliness is another aspect that really stands out, everything feels very clean and fresh. They offer a wide variety of tours, and the infrastructure of the place is impressive. You can clearly see the constant investment they make, as everything looks very well maintained. The beachfront location is fantastic; you can see the best sunsets in the entire area from this place. They also have a volleyball court on the beach, which they carefully maintain every day so it stays impeccable, a very modern guest kitchen in the middle of the jungle, and plenty of hammocks to relax in, chill music, and delicious micheladas. Without a doubt, I will be back very soon!

Right on the beach, very quiet and peaceful. We saw a whale from the balcony on our first day! Comfy beds, great WiFi, a small but well equipped kitchen & 10 min walk to the village. The host was really lovely - took us on a beautiful hike where we fished, drank from fresh coconuts & cooked what we’d fished on a fire on the beach! He also cooked us the freshest tuna we’d ever eaten with homemade coconut milk. One of the best meals we’ve eaten on our trip!

Just a really nice chill place. Great upstairs terrace to hang out and chill in the hammock. Very close to the beach, has a kitchen you can use and everyone is very friendly.
