There is a hiking path to the lake of Murten just underneath the hotel. 20 minutes drive to Papiliorama, if you want to be there early. The best is to be at Papiliorama as soon as it opens in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The peaceful surroundings made for a perfect, relaxing stay. The breakfast was hands down the best I’ve had while traveling through Europe! There was such a wide variety of delicious options, and I was especially thrilled to try the meringues with cream — absolutely delicious!
